Also, the airbender in the intro is Aang, so they have him in there.
It does make sense if it's Aang. But I hope it isn't, as the Airbender at the start is sporting a Hugo Strange neckbeard
wait thats a reference reference to what?
Fullmetal Alchemist maybe?
Fullmetal Alchemist maybe?
Oh, d'oh, it sounded similar. What with the "slightest shifting of rock requires energy", and "your world's total energy increases while the others dwindle", though, where exactly is it from? I mean, where... in the series.
I just saw the first two episodes. I love it, and it does a good job of keeping the satisfaction of staying in the universe while at the same time being a completely different series. I know Korra's supposed to be 16, but she seems more like she's 20 to me. The animation is better, and the music is jazzy. It's got this weird vaguely Cowboy Beebop feel and it makes me feel like the show is targeted at me, knowing I as one of those original young viewers have grown up a little now. I also like that it deals with completely different questions and themes as the old one, while still having the most important ones like balance in there. It's promising to be more complex than the original, building on it. I like that they don't feel they need to rehash "Aang can't learn earthbending," instead making you ask "Korra can't airbend because she's not spiritual? Then how is air tied to the spiritual more than the other elements?" Wow, I should stop and write a novel on this elsewhere. I'll post a link when I finish writing it. She would rather take a punch then avoid it where as an airbender would dance circles around someone trying to hit him.

wow the amount of artwork, and it hasn't aired yet.
That's what happens when you release the first two episodes online
Not everything released early online get's such love. [editline]31st March 2012[/editline]

there's one person missing from this photo [sp]be the leaf[/sp]
there's one person missing from this photo [sp]be the leaf[/sp]
fucking god i hate that kid
Looks like i'm going to be hooked on this.
I am still a bit sceptical about this and will most likely remain so until I've seen a couple episodes. I don't think it's going to be bad, I just don't think it's going to be near as good as the first one.
All my scepticism has been blown away with these two episodes. I truly believe this can be just as good as the first series.
It's all the same crew so I doubt there is any way it can be less than the first series. And what are you guys talking about? Meelo is a genius. I have a feeling he's going to be the new Bumi. You know, a mad genius :eng101:

Anyone else think the Bending Arena looks like a big mosque? If anything, like Hagia Sophia, which was a Christian church converted to a mosque:
this may sound silly, but when I first saw the bending arena I immediately thought of a crappy Minecraft temple built out of gold blocks...

That's a cruel as hell 1 April's joke.
They're all airbenders couldn't they just blow the fire out
Okay since I don't have Nickelodeon, where's a place to watch this? Wait is that warez?
That's a cruel as hell 1 April's joke.
That's just rude.
A meaner joke would be if they announced it being canceled.
Okay since I don't have Nickelodeon, where's a place to watch this? Wait is that warez?
If it's put on the Nick website you can use a firefox addon to watch it outside of the US. If you already live in the US just go to the website.
I dont understand why no one likes Tenzin's son. I think he's hilarious!
He's ugly and an annoyance. His daughters are better. Especially the elder one, Jinora
A meaner joke would be if they announced it being canceled.
Nope, that would be obvious as all hell. This is a little subtler.
He's ugly and an annoyance. His daughters are better. Especially the elder one, Jinora
Obviously this guy can't be the leaf.
