I'm liking the show thus far. I really liked when the kids asked what happened to Zuko's mother then right as they're about to tell it, an interruption happens. Way to stick it to the fans, it was almost as good as the ending to the Fionna and Cake ending of Adventure Time

What's the relation between Korra and Katara? They seemed to be really close. Were they mentioned to be related or are they just close because Katara was with the previous avatar and Katara is her waterbending teacher?
I would bet that Katara was her water bending teacher. I don't think they are related in anyway.
Heh so Katara has trained two avatars. That's pretty cool.

Apparently episode 3 got leaked but taken down quickly... damnit.
I foresee a love triangle in the future.
Both Bolin and Mako are gonna take a liking to Korra. Then the argue and fight and then they become buds again.

I'm not really getting that vibe from Bolin

Or one kills the other for the love of the Avatar.

There's kinda a little bit when they first meet. Just a thought.
Unfortunately if this does happen there will be lots of angst bending in the near future.
To be honest, I'm hoping neither fall in love with the Avatar. It's a little bit obvious and cliched.
Just watched this after a long day today, and I can't deny that I'm psyched for the next episode :v:
Oh man, youtube comments are great sometimes:
Long ago, Nickelodeon showed good 90s shows and cartoons in harmony. Then, everything changed when Big Time Rush, iCarly, and the wannabe cartoons attacked. Only Avatar: The Last Airbender could stop them, but when we needed it most, reruns of the show vanished. Time passed, and we discovered a new Avatar named Korra… and although we have only seen trailers and promos,* I believe that Korra* can save Nickelodeon.
Yeah but he's the playboy type
He doesn't act like he's in love with her after that

That's golden.
After seeing the premiere today, I am devilishly excited for this. There is a definite improvement of the animation and the overall style compared to its predecessor. It's easy to see that those who will find this series most appealing are the long term fans; new ones notwithstanding, however (I find myself in the middle since I started watching the original show in the latter half of the series). So far, I haven't noticed anything that I particularly dislike about the show.

The previews kind of hint at something possibly growing between Mako and Korra. Not to mention their first encounter was littered with that idea that they'd eventually start liking each other. Cliches are hard to escape, but it comes down to the execution, I'd say.

To be fair, the whole Ang + Katara was a huge cliche too.
I hope they start some kind of relationship but then it crashes and burns horribly or one of them dies or becomes the moon again.

Sokka got the best women in the last Avatar, so I expect Bolin to receive the same treatment
thought the new ep was comin out today
thought the new ep was comin out today
It was the start of the new series apparently. New episode is either next week or the week after depending on if they did a two episode premier or not.

fuck what
Or one kills the other for the love of the Avatar.
And to DA they both kill Korra before having same sex relationships
Just finished watching the first two episodes. I really like the game of pro-bending and they really put a lot of thought into it.

I liked how instead of just telling us the pro-bending rules they had Korra accidentally breaking them, because she didn't know them either.
fuck what
Nickelodeon said that if the KorraNation.com page received over one hundred thousand likes, shares, and tweets on Facebook and Twitter they would release the first two episodes early online, on March 24th. The series' official premiere on Nick was on April 14th, so the premiere episodes were shown again.
The new episode is next week.
Just watched the first episode, it makes sense how technology has grown, but I'm not a fan. Cars, batteries, cameras, too much in my mind.

ultimate dissapointment
I'd honestly like an episode dedicated to pro bending. It's more exciting than any real life sport to me.
And to DA they both kill Korra before having same sex relationships
I'd be OK with same-sex relationships being put in the show, but then again, LoK is on Nickelodeon which is an American business, so, not going to happen for atleast 20 more years when most of the conservatives died out.

It would be good if it wasn't a cartoon with one set outcome. The whole point in sports is that it is unscripted and down to skill not writing so it kinda takes the excitement out of it.
where can I find any episodes for US?
Anywhere I can watch the marathon/premiere online?
Hi people, just want to ask y'all somthing...
In the last scene of Ep1 with Amon, there are some images behind him.
one is obviously a map but the other on the left appears to be... well...
