Wouldn't his kid (assuming his kid is an air bender) have arrows too? Or does that come in later...
The arrows signify that the person is an airbending master. Aang had them because he invented that spiny ball thing he does.
Oh. I thought all benders had it. Guess not.
Me and my sis were talking about episode 5 and we kinda figured that Bolin wont have a set girlfriend at this point. How ever it is much more likely that he will mingle with several women through out the series. After all he is gorgeous.
CLIFFHANGERS HNNNNGGG
well we have seen clips from trailers where they are fighting in the arena and in the building with amon so i assume that to be next weeks episode. Should be exciting!

Anyone know if there is a longer version of the instrumental music that plays with the credits?
The arrows signify that the person is an airbending master. Aang had them because he invented that spiny ball thing he does.
Pretty sure all the other airbender children had an arrow on their heads.

The arrow tattoo is giving when an Airbender masters 35 out of the 36 tiers of Airbending. Aang being the youngest airbender ever to have received the honour makes it impossible for his fellow airbending friends to have the tattoo.
I think part of the reason that Aang got his tattoos so early was that he invented the air scooter, getting one of the tiers out of the way early.
On the wiki it says something along the lines of "... completed 35 out of the 36 tiers of Airbending and invented the Air-scooter." So I'm not sure whether or not the Air-scooter was a tier or not.
what exactly ARE airbending tiers and what is the 36th one that aang couldn't do

Aang mastered 35 plus the air scooter - he mastered 36, just not the traditional set.
what exactly ARE airbending tiers and what is the 36th one that aang couldn't do
We do not know for sure what they are. You might remember the Water bending scroll Katara once stole? It showed how one could perform a technique. It was shown as a series of pictures which showed the steps needed to perform the technique. That could be a tier. However, that's all guesswork. We just know there are 36 an Airbender has to master before he can become a Airbending master and get his Tattoo. There is an episode in which we see Gyatso and some other monks perform this technique. However, we never see Aang use this ability. We could assume it's the 36th tier of Airbending which Aang never needed to master because of his Air-scooter.
I wonder if the marble trick counts as one.
I wonder if the marble trick counts as one.
I do not think it is a tier, but since I don't know them all I cannot prove you wrong.
Okay guys so Get this >Amon ends up taking the avatar's bending, then teaches his energy-bending to his pupils. >Eventually, they eradicate normal bending, leaving only energy bending >20-30 years pass, and people start to experiment with the energy-bending >they use the soul-bending properties of energy-bending >they create a philosopher's stone >they create alchemy by molecular rearrangement with energy-bending >Full Metal Alchemist starts, right around the WWII-ish era Obviously a cut off map of what's left of the Earth kingdom
other than the fact that that wouldn't happen, your timeline is wrong (both TLA and FMA ones) also fma was more WWI era than WWII
other than the fact that that wouldn't happen, your timeline is wrong (both TLA and FMA ones) also fma was more WWI era than WWII
No fun allowed
well maybe you should get your facts right >:(
Finally picked up on this series. Loved TLA when I was younger, but this series is pretty good too. Seems lately theres been a wave of good cartoons that have gained a following with older fans on the internet ([sp]Adventure Time, this, Regular Show, MLP, etc.[/sp]) it's actually really encouraging to see that shows like this still exist.
but adventure time and regular show are meant to appeal to an older audience, really. regular show is literally based on a cartoon of an acid trip, and adventure time is just weird but awesome. no comment on mlp but yeah this show's good (but the first one was better imo)
True, but I'm glad there are still good cartoons for both kids and those in the older demographics. I agree, but then again I loved the first series so much as a kid, I don't think anything could compare.
other than the fact that that wouldn't happen, your timeline is wrong (both TLA and FMA ones) also fma was more WWI era than WWII
Wasn't the other side(of the door) fighting WWII?
Wasn't the other side(of the door) fighting WWII?
only in the non-canon and shitty tv version manga version is better and accurate
Brotherhood ending was better. Wasn't the original the WW2 one?
Brotherhood ending was better. Wasn't the original the WW2 one?
brotherhood was 100% faithful to the manga when the original was made, the manga wasn't finished. so like halfway through they just decided to wing it and write a new storyline. so yes brotherhood is better because it is canon
