So where is everyone watching the new episode? Is it just on the TV or what?
Amon is one of those characters that you know is wrong, but you can't help but feel respect for how awesome and brilliant of a person he is.
http://avatarchapters.tv/ It's only in 360p with commercials right now as this is probably a recording from a stream.
I never knew how bad the US has it with adverts.
I'm watching it on this. http://www.chia-anime.com/avatar-the-legend-of-korra/watch-avatar-the-legend-of-korra-episode-5.html
I never knew how bad the US has it with adverts.
And this is why we have the largest DVR percentage per household in the world.
Am is a great villain in that he is easy to hate. It still makes me mad thaat a lot of /co/ actually agrees with Amon.
I think Amon has a good cause, just bad execution. It is true that benders are glorified in the world of Avatar with things like the Pro-bending tournament, causing normal people to feel inferior.
I dont like Amon as much as I liked Zuko. Zuko was quite a complex character with lots of inner turmoil and such. Amon seems like a very run of the mill "they killed my parents so I will kill/disable them" kinda guy. I hope Amon is elaborated on much more deeply. I can see him being a better characte rin the future. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline] Also I am unhappy they killed off everyone from the first series except Katara. I liked Sokka and Toph a lot.
Also I am unhappy they killed off everyone from the first series except Katara. I liked Sokka and Toph a lot.
They didn't kill them off... they just grew old and died. That stuff happens to people!
They didn't kill them off... they just grew old and died. That stuff happens to people!
If they kept Katara in as an old woman, they could kept another character or two in a similar way. Of course Iroh is dead, no questions about it. I was sort of looking forward to seeing a old - yet still painfully unfunny Sokka (unfunny in a comedic way, that is), as well as a suitable end for Toph. She was the youngest, and the one I expect to live the most.
Also I am unhappy they killed off everyone from the first series except Katara. I liked Sokka and Toph a lot.
Zuko is still alive and wandering through the nations as an old man.

I hoped Zuko turned kinda like Iroh. And those visions that Korra keeps seeing is giving me a vibe that Amon is involved in it
anyone know when the promise's next part is released? the new weird suki/zuko thing could be interesting
I'm working on building the arena in Minecraft, trying to figure out how to handle the stage lights and piston effects.
I dont think they ever said toph was dead.
I believe Katara said something along the lines of "all my friends, including my brother have now past away" in the first episode, implying Her Tophness is dead. The Avatar wiki even lists her as as deceased at the time of Korra. http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Toph_Beifong
Zuko aint dead.
Shit sorry guy something went a little screwy with this one.
Can you possibly re-upload it?
I hoped Zuko turned kinda like Iroh. And those visions that Korra keeps seeing is giving me a vibe that Amon is involved in it
I think Amon has a personal grudge against Aang.

Zuko is confirmed alive, and Toph hasn't been confirmed or denied.
Awesome episode.
I hate the way they avoid giving us proper flashbacks. [sp]And what happened in the episode? I... just.. fuck! Amon is doing something... unnecessary. He said it himself - non-benders have a technological advantage or something. Also Korra really needs to work on her airbending, she can't dodge for shit (well, compared to Aang).[/sp]
the final fight scene was amazing.
I thought it was possible for anyone to become a bender, by learning it from the animals that invented said bending (like the badgermoles or sky bisons)
I like to see it as that everyone can learn energybending, but it became a lost art over the times with the split elemental bending, which activates spiritually and can then be transmitted parent to son just as the avatar spirit is sort of transmitted between avatars, but without it being proper reincarnation, and that anyone could, if he knew how, how to bend. [editline]13th May 2012[/editline] Also, when Korra had her flashback I expect her to go yipyip avatar state.
Don't you think Korra is pretty weak for being the avatar?
Korra doesn't seem to be in tune with the spiritual part of being an avatar. Kind of like when Tenzin told her that there's more to being the avatar than just being a good fighter. Aang was more spiritual because he grew up in a very spiritual society. Korra hasn't had any spiritual journeys yet
I just watched the sixth episode and THAT WAS SO AWESOME
