I think they should add a new kind of bender to the show. Like a specialized air bender (they haven't had one of those) called a sound bender. I think that would be badass.

Since airbenders aren't exactly common I think the highest probability of finding one lies within Tenzin. He still hasn't had a real action scene tho I'm sure it's coming.
If he will be specialized and a sound bender tho, I wonder how they'll make it visually interesting. Some "hot air effect" beams along which the sound travels and a couple of bleeding ears? The biggest effect I think they could achieve with it would be crowd control: One guy standing there and bending softly and the frenzied masses going down in pain and agony, with the lack of direct involvement supporting the effect.

I was thinking that it would be more for spying and the like. Or whispering in some one's ear from across a noisy city. But I also like your idea on how it would be used.
