Taho was abusing his gift. Cheating and hurting people with bending. He is some one who doesn't deserve that sorta gift.
but when you abuse your ability like he did, its almost like he deserved to lose the right to use it. The firelord got his shit taken away for abusing it, sure its more extreme, but thats what im getting at, you abuse it you lose it.
Like I said, you do have a point. But it's a really interesting conflict. On episode 6, you're like "YEAH YEAH TAKE HIS BENDING AWAY MOTHERFUCKER YOU DESERVED IT." But then you see what happened to him after that, something changes. You still believe he deserved it, but you don't scream at the screen like he's the Firelord. You're no longer going "YEAH YEAH YOU DESERVED IT", you're now going "Oh. Oh crap. Uhm... Oh man. Well, he deserved it." He served as a great example that this shit is permanent, not some temporary blocking. Again, we may be wrong, but only time will tell. Do I think he deserved it? Yeah. Do I feel bad for him? Yeah.

I mean I can actually feel sorry for him when he looks like that. I didn't feel sorry when his bending was first taken away, but this picture just makes me feel for him you know.
He not only deserved it for being a jerk, he deserved it for having a ridiculous hair cut.
He probably didn't realize how important bending was to him until he lost it. He was a complete asshole, but people change. Not sure if they'll make that show in the later episodes.
And think about it: you spend your whole life training to be a great bender. Then, one snap of fingers and it's all gone. You may be the biggest dick in the world, but damn, it's gotta hurt.
What goes around comes around.

waiting for an Avatar game that's actually good because that would be gooood
waiting for an Avatar game that's actually good because that would be gooood
Personally I'd like an Avatar game where you don't play as the avatar. Just play as a regular person and get to experience the world. Picking different benders would be a great way to add replay value, and you could add non-benders as a kind of hardcore mode. Though kicking ass as Korra could be cool I guess.
Now that everyone's going to live on Air Temple Island, there's going to be a... Full House
waiting for an Avatar game that's actually good because that would be gooood
A game with the same style as Arkham City would work pretty well.
So whats this about taking the bulb?
Maybe losing his bending teaches Tahno humility and he ends up becoming a good person. Kind of like how everyone Goku beats the shit out of becomes one of his friends
So does Amon know energy bending since it's really similar to how Aang took away the fire lords bending?
I wonder who would win in a fight between amon and azula
I wonder who would win in a fight between amon and azula
Pabu
So does Amon know energy bending since it's really similar to how Aang took away the fire lords bending?
nobody has a clear answer to this yet, and that's what makes Amon a very awesome and threatening villain in the world of Avatar. I imagine it will be explained eventually- but as of now it's just a cool little grey area
So does Amon know energy bending since it's really similar to how Aang took away the fire lords bending?
There's evidence both for and against it. I guess we'll just have to wait to find out.
In A:TLA Katara could tell if someone's chi was blocked. Tahno said he visited healers and nobody could tell what Amon had done. Therefore, whatever Amon's doing probably isn't advanced chi-blocking. I think disrupting the chakras is most likely at this point.
Korra hasn't won even won one battle against Amon.
Korra hasn't won even won one battle against Amon.
To be honest though she's pretty much just a good bender, but with the ability to use three elements instead of one.
She's not a good Avatar yet. One, the whole needing to learn airbending thing, and two, she needs to learn the spiritual stuff. Needs to master the Avatar state too, I suppose.

I wonder what Aangs kid Bumi is gonna be like considering he'd not a bender.
Probably a badass, just like Tenzin. They're related, after all.
He recovered Space sword and mastered the art of being badass.
I really want to see Space Sword make a comeback.
He'll probably be a bitter asshole but also a badass. Like a male Lin without the metal bending.
maybe he'll kick ass with a sword or staff or something.
