If Amon was a bloodbender, he could have had the potential to remove her bending since it was a full moon. If Tarrlok was Amon he could have removed her bending. I just thought I'd share any details I find.

well, there was a full moon during the Revelations episode but they dont show one during the episode where he takes the pro-benders bending away.
I like the moon rock idea because it would explain why and how the guy in the flash backs bloodbended during the day. Maybe it has an area of effect kind of thing where his gangsters broke him out by bloodbending. I still dont think Amon is Tarlock since Tarlock and Tenzin were together during the backup plan when Korra called out Amon.
maybe tarlock and amon are related, brothers maybe? Amon could be a bloodbender hiding his waterbending, and using the movement to gain power. And Tarlock did show a massive reaction to being compared to Amon. This could mean they both learned bloodbending from their father in the flashbacks.

Biggest twist: His name is Amon. He wants to get rid of all benders. He's using technology to take away bending. Korra's real enemy is herself.

Well now I'm guessing that Amon is Yakone. He was affected by the bloodbending but could still control himself, and I would assume it would take a bloodbender to know how to work around being bloodbended. Also, Tarrlok said that Yakone tried to control the city from the underground, like Amon is doing.
I would still like Amon to be a stand alone character like some people theorize. I just find it fun to try and figure out who the man behind the mask is.
