zuko's gonna save korra from amon right at that point, cliche as the mask on aangs statue.
I really hope Amon is none of the popular theories, it would be cool to see something we don't expect at all.
There is only one valid reason why Tarrlok isn't Amon, Amon is too cool to be Tarrlok.
Good on you. You and 95% of this thread called that.

Only idiots thought he was.
I still think Amon is Tarrlock. I'm not convinced by the last episode
Well, it's been a few pages since the episode dropped, and several people (including the pageking) have straight-up mentioned things that happened without spoiler tagging anything.
Okay, yeah, that makes sense. Forget I said anything.
I still think Amon is Tarrlock. I'm not convinced by the last episode
I'm not exactly sure how seeing Amon and Tarrlok as two different people at the same time doesn't convince you.
Good on you. You and 95% of this thread called that.
But I sure got the reason right.
Only idiots thought he was.
Yeah, okay. I don't see how they could even be the same person. Tarrlok is just a giant douchebag, but Amon seems to have a set of morals.
Controlling peoples' bodies against their will is worse than taking away bending even though the controlling is only temporary.
I'm not exactly sure how seeing Amon and Tarrlok as two different people at the same time doesn't convince you.
Amon is Tarrlok's meat puppet.
I'm not exactly sure how seeing Amon and Tarrlok as two different people at the same time doesn't convince you.
I need more evidence than just the two of them fighting each other and Tarrlock being dragged into a van by equalists.
I need more evidence than just the two of them fighting each other and Tarrlock being dragged into a van by equalists.
They're two people in two different places at the same time, speaking to each other in two different voices... What more proof could you possible need?
But I sure got the reason right.
The reason Tarrlok isn't Amon is because he isn't Amon.
Didn't he also do all the animals from ATLA and the animals in this series as well?
Also:

When Amon takes away someone's bending he puts pressure on the a-mon pressure point.
He didn't do that with Tahno, he only hits the a-mon to paralyze the target, he is stealing bending with the thumb to the forehead.
I still think Amon is Tarrlock. I'm not convinced by the last episode
You're like those shippers who ship crazy couples that are against canon (and common sense) but still think there is a chance.
because...... Amon is more than one person.

This is looking delicious.
Finally got to see the latest episode. Interesting episode, for sure. Got me thinking about some things. I'm just spit balling ideas here, not really setting my mind to anything yet:
-Theory number one: I'm kind of leaning toward the idea that Amon may be Bumi, Aang's non-bender son. It's possible that being the son of an Avatar he inherited the ability to take bending. Being the non-bending son of the Avatar- of all people- may have made him resentful of benders and his father; perhaps even jealous of his siblings' abilities and others around him. Having discovered that he has the rare ability to take bending from individuals he may see it as his purpose to truly bring balance to the world by eliminating benders; especially after seeing the rise of bending-based criminals in Republic City.
-Theory number two (a little more far-fetched): regardless of whether or not Amon is anyone but Amon; perhaps Amon's ability isn't taking bending away but rather absorbing it into himself and he can actually use all the forms of bending he absorbs. This could be why Aang would be trying to warn Korra (after all, she did have a vision when she tried challenging Amon, where Tarrlok is irrelevant and not present)- it's possible that while she thinks the warning was about Tarrlok's blood bending, the warning was actually to protect Tarrlok from Amon who could absorb blood bending which would make him a lot more powerful.
Theory number three: My joking comment before;
Unless Amon is the negative counterpart to Aang as the Avatar and another force that must be balanced- bending and non-bending. Thus, divulging into themes of dualism like in Taoist philosophies and such.
Get it. yin and yAang. :zoid:
Is true.
Like I said: just spit balling and considering possibilities.
On an entirely different note: it was a good episode, finally see what them visions were about. Interesting to see the old Team Avatar older. I feel they kind of handled Tarrlok a little quickly, as a villain, but it was still a good angle to play and I look forward to seeing how things play out from here. Sucks that those metal bender cops got their bending taken away. Blows my 'Beifong's Defector Metal Bender Squad' idea out of the water, but I should have seen it coming. Mako's returning feelings for Korra were- I don't know... I mean, it makes sense, but I kind of hope we don't start dwelling on it again. We'll see how it goes, though.
And finally, for some reason blood bending really creeps me out. Just the idea...

If Komon doesn't happen by the end of the first season, I will kill myself
Zuko definitely needs to come save the day in the next episodes.
Everyone keeps carrying on about Bumi, but I wanna know if we're gonna see Kya anytime soon.
Wait, so Aang was the last airbender, and then he had one airbending child. So who the fuck is this?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/R5lcw.png[/img_thumb]
For that matter who were the people helping Asami with her luggage? They were dressed as airbenders.

Oh man, we've already been over this.
That's Aang's illegitimate child
The best way to handle it would be to make Amon a "force of nature" instead of a man.. like Randall Flagg in Stephen King's books, or Darth Nihilus from KOTOR 2...
But, given that this is a Nick show, I doubt we'll be seeing anything like that

Who thought this was a good idea?
I had another thought earlier. When Aang took Yakone's bending, it seemed to leave Yakone pretty out of breath. When Amon does it, it seems much more traumatic than that.
Why does Amon only start struggling when he's hit by the moonlight?
