I really want to know how Amon was able to overcome Tarrlok's bloodbending.
An interesting theory is that he's a waterbender, this also offers a possible explanation of how he can take away bending.
He was burned to an inch from death. I think that would count as "a very revealing feature".
Amon is Joshua Graham.
Amon is combustion man's son.
Wouldnt that have to make him 70 years old at the least?
What is Amon, but a miserable pile of secrets.
Amon is sokka's son, clearly.
Amon is Momo

Once Cabbage Corp. was founded, Combustion Man went on to become it's top benefactor, earning a higher share amount than even Cabbage Mans own son. This lead him to have a happy prosperous life with many wives and many children

I don't know why but Amon reminds me of Revan from KOTOR for some weird ass reason. I mean both very capable warriors and charismatic leaders, and their mask.

All I know is that Korra and friends BETTER go on a cross-continent adventure at some point during the series or I'll be pissed.
Ah, found a better quality version without the split: http://www.nick.com/videos/clip/legend-of-korra-110-amons-end-game-clip.html EDIT: Mah automerge...

Just found a better one than the one I posted (I think the clip just released and they got it as soon as they could, never mind quality).
Uh, because Tarrlok starts trying harder, as seen in that gif.
Ah, but as soon as Amon steps out of the light then he's fine.
Ah, but as soon as Amon steps out of the light then he's fine.
Waterbender's powers come from ya know, THE MOON.
Waterbender's powers come from ya know, THE MOON.
It seems that Tarlok (and Yakone) have that relationship switched, as they can bloodbend without the full moon, but not on the full moon.
An interesting theory is that he's a waterbender, this also offers a possible explanation of how he can take away bending.
how would waterbending allow him to take away bending?
how would waterbending allow him to take away bending?
Who said you need to be the avatar to learn spirit bending? i still think amon isn't an elemental bender.
Wasn't it mentioned that Energybending was a thing wayyy before elemental bending?
I think avatar was real life and amon succeeded in removing bending.
I now believe that Amon is energy bending. I don't know how, but he is stealing people's bending knowledge, and then blocking their chi. There are a few theories of how Amon got these ability. One really far fetched one was that there was a split in the avatar line. Another is that he is Yakone's other son, and therefore Tarlok's brother. Yakone somehow passed on his knowledge of energy bending that he learned from having it done to him. From the wiki: "There are only two known applications of energybending: The ability to transfer knowledge, as shown by the lion turtle when he granted Aang the knowledge of energybending,[1] and the ability to remove another person's bending, as shown when Aang removed Fire Lord Ozai’s firebending.[4]
I don't want Amon to energybend, I want Amon to Amonbend. It would be cool to see energybending make a return but it would be even cooler if Amon was just Amon. Just some dude with a will of a Lion Turtle blocking chi and kicking ass. I like his character too much, they made him too cool.
I like his character too much, they made him too cool.
Its because of the mask and steve blum. [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] And the ability to fuck up everything else in sight but thats lower on the list of reasons.
Amon's powers come from his hatred of benders. He gets his own mech later that is fueled by hatred and angst
