It focuses on some of the pacing struggles due to the smaller number of episodes and how that affects the relationships (romantic and otherwise) between the characters. It also touches on the "show, don't tell" aspect of writing [sup]I still like this show, though[/sup] [sup][sub]Try to overlook the massive amount of tumblr gifs[/sub][/sup]
I think the post is way too nitpicky.
Am I wrong in thinking Amon's pretty much got the right idea? Bending is useful, yes, but it creates a divide between people that cannot be fixed. Effectively, bending creates a higher class of people. Why hire normal people to do a job when benders will do it better? No one cared during the war because the existence of benders meant normal people could just live their lives and chill because the benders could defend them. But when there's no war, there's just resentment. If Superman ran out of bad people to protect and wanted to just settle down and raise a family or something and decided to go get a job, he would do literally EVERYTHING better than normal people. Noe imagine one in every twenty people is a bender.

Later on(100 years) people will find out new ways to improve in a technologically way and they will be the new higher class. Think Deus Ex:HR, people get augments so they can get a better life. But wouldn't that make them the higher class now? People would start protesting and it would start all over again just like in Avatar...
Think Deus Ex:HR
I've been meaning to draw Adam Jensen as a metalbender for a while now. I wonder, could a metalbender with prosthetic arms 'bend' their arms into normal movement?

Benders and non-Benders are not on an equal playing field. Period. Benders will always have the advantage because of their bending. It makes them tired and depressed because they can't do things the easy way anymore, they have to actually work like everyone else. Korra's the bad guy, almost. She's not protecting the people or spreading harmony. Amon's the one working for equality. [editline]14th June 2012[/editline] Based on what we've seen of republic city, I'm assuming it's a caste system. The non-benders, besides being the largest group by far, has no representation in the council, while there are two water tribe representatives as well as Tenzin, who speaks for his family and his island. Big deal. Amon's p chill. The only people he's removed the bending from (so far) were criminals (zolt & tarlokk) or the police (who were a threat). I'm not saying he's perfect or whatever, but I'm pretty sure he's got the right idea.

That is like eliminating black slavery by using white slaves aswell. Couldn't they just be wearing the clothes of their people like the air acolyte who was on the council back during that trial?

There's a difference between someone having an innate advantage and someone who worked for it. Benders have a (genetic?) advantage that they did not work for in the slightest. Which is how caste systems work.
The solution is to give everyone bending. And then make fighting tournaments with the best of these people.
sokka was the southern tribe representative and ATLA made it damn clear he can't bend worth shit
Managed to make Amon into Jack of Blades from Fable. Was bored so i thought i would make this.

You correct it by giving them the same rights not removing them from the people who are better off. In this case you should give non benders the same abilities, not take abilities away from benders.

That part of the rebellion is perfectly fine, taking peoples bending away isn't fine.
I don't think you are getting mine either.
Your point is that the Equalists shouldn't be tryin to take bending away because that's lowering the bar until it's equal. Instead, they should...magically gain bending powers, apparently. My point is that they can't just become benders, and society's basically ruled by benders, shunting those who can't bend into a weird lower-class scenario. Amon's fighting for the common man, albeit in a questionable (but probably the only way that would work) manner, by taking their bending away and making everyone equal. Republic City was built on the notion that there would always be a hero there, which is ultimately flawed from the start.

Infact that is basically one of the main themes of this series and how the equalists can even combat benders to begin with. Also where has this non-bending lower class been shown? The two biggest companies we have seen are both owned by rich non-benders. Infact Mako and Bolin are benders but they are also homeless, not exactly high class living.
So from the Promise Part 2 is [sp]Suki gonna leave Sokka for Zuko or is she really just that caring about everyone and if that happens what happens to Sokka[/sp]
