Wonder if a person who had their bending taken away can still have children that can bend. Maybe Amon wins in the end but benders would still exist through birth.

Seems likely. Although I think that either they'll do some sort of screening process with each child forever, or like Haru, the fear of retaliation will cause them to hide it.

He would probably have secret police or some thing that would keep track of that. Maybe bending is spiritual, if you take it away from the parent any decedents born after its taken don't get bending powers. Though this theory could be countered of Tarrlok was born after his father lost his bending. Maybe if he takes away Korra's bending and because shes the Avatar all bending vanishes In the trailer he does claim hes going to end all bending once and for all in the present tense.

That is if every child starts to become screened on whether they can bend or not and any benders alive would be hunted down and ridden of their powers. That would set up a whole new season for the next Avatar. Korra loses her bending and at that very second the next Avatar is born to a Earth kingdom family who grows up not knowing he can bend and finds out way later on bringing back balance between benders and non-benders.
