New avatar beats the new villain and in the process shows benders aren't bad.
There could never be balance as long as there are benders/non-benders. It's impossible since there will always be benders that think they are above non-benders.
I think that Amon isn't really taking away their bending permanently, he's just blocking the chakra and it's being held long term(until they have to do something to unblock it somehow, I guess)
This series is being so crazily intense. The last episode was almost entirely action, and was very good. I really, really hope it gets at least another season.
I thought about something like using the first season to set Amon up and letting him succeed, and using the second season to take him down, but that doesn't quite work with the brisk pacing the show has been going for until now. This show has a lot more emphasis on the central conflict and conflicts between characters in general, the original series was a bit more about exploration and meeting strange people and locations IMO.

Legend of Korra is a sequel to The Last Airbender, so it shouldn't just copy it and have the avatar learn all the elements again. We've seen that already, earth is a stubborn element, fire is life, etc. I'd like to see Korra actually learn air bending. We saw her try to learn early on, but then it just kind of stopped. After all this is "Book One : Air"
I agree. Seeing more air bending training would be fun. Aang already knew all that stuff, so it was never really elaborated on in the original series, so it really makes sense to do that now.

Haha this was awesome! There is plenty of more of this mini series. [editline]18th June 2012[/editline] http://xkojin.tumblr.com/post/25326632330/hello-ladies-iroh-here
Oh, Iroh. You're so silly.
I like how Zuko went back to normal for a bit.
So it would be awesome if Korra goes into the avatar state right after she closes her eyes when Amon touches her forehead to take her bending away and Aang's spirit takes over and uses energy bending to give Amon bending. And she subdues him with airbending or something. [editline]18th June 2012[/editline]
Or maybe Bumi is another general for the United whatever stationed on the other side of the world. Also bending must be genetic and works the way hereditary traits work. Katara's parents weren't waterbenders but one of them or both of them had to have it in their genes but it was a recessive gene that became present in Katara and not Sokka. Someone clean up my logic if it's wrong it's been a while since Biology class.
Katara and Sokka's mother was a bender, she was taken away by the southern raiders and presumably died. Well shes probably dead by the time this series takes place.

Her mother was afraid that they would take her away so she said that she was the waterbender. And she wasn't taken. The raiders weren't in the prisoner taking mood so they killed her. Rewatch the episode if you don't believe me.

"She lied to you, she was protecting the last water bender." "What? Who?" "Me!" Book 3 - The Southern Raiders
So FP I just attempted a Korra video, I know this will probably rake in the hate and the dumbs because its COD related but here it is anyway, and I think I did an okay job for my first attempt:
Lol instead of taking bending from people using energy bending she gives Amon bending powers and he goes crazy because he wants to get rid of it.
I have a feeling that the final reveal will be that Amon stores all the bending he's taken inside him, and to restore the stolen bending, Korra duels him in the spirit world or something, defeats him and takes away his ability to remove bending. He's gotta have some link to the spirit world if he can use energy-bending.

I bet she's sick of lower class living and will go to her dad and squeal where the Korra (Trio?) are.
Didn't they already break up?
Rough patch. Honestly though I'll be pretty disappointed if they do break up.

Fuck Mako, fuck him. He's fucking everything up. He ruined Korra and BoLin, now he's gonna ruin himself and Asami and make Asami go evil.
I thought Asasmi would be a better character and not freak out over the "they're close friends" thing.
