Finale + onwards preview. Note the last part where they said they have story boards past season 2, so if Nick greenlights another season it looks like we might be getting more LoK than was originally announced.
I thought they already greenlit a second season...
PAST season 2
Ooh! That'd be great!
katara was the first person to bloodbend without a full moon correct?
I don't recall that happening. Her fight with Hama was during the full moon.
Nickelodeon has helpfully gathered up all the Amon theories for you:

they put the mustache man in the lineup neato, though they didn't put Tenzin there.... uh oh...

They don't have storyboards past season 2, just ideas. They're currently storyboarding season 2.

No Korra?
Fools.
My vote is Triple Threat Triad thug number 2.
All of those are wrong, it's clearly the sky bison
How long until she does something avatar-state ish. I mean come on, Aang turned into a giant godzilla made out of water, the least she could do would make some big fire thing.
I can see her going into the Avatar state just as Amon is about to take her bending away. After all, it is a defence mechanism.
I like how everyone keeps hating on Mako for cheating on Asami, when if you remember it was KORRA who leaned in and kissed him.
No blame in this thread has been put on Korra what so ever when she was also fully aware that Mako was entering a relationship with Asami.
For me personally the event is less important than how the characters dealt with it afterwards. I feel less agitated about Korra because the impulse of the moment fit her personality, and then Bolin and her had something of a closure to the whole thing (reduced Bolin to background comic relief tho). Mako is supposed to be something of a level-headed voice of reason with a good heart, but never brought this topic up again and turned it into a time bomb, and every episode people were waiting for him to tell his girlfriend to defuse it.
Also, something I doodled yesterday after the idea of Lin teaching ex-benders how to fight with martial arts derived from their bending:

I'd love it if Amon's plan backfired completely around the finale and everything comes crashing down on him. I mean, he is bombing the home of benders and non-benders alike, that could make them forget their differences and remind them Republic City is all about gathering very different people and treating them equally, not about separation.
Also, I personally find the adults in this series so much more interesting than the teenagers. The latter are too focused on their personal arcs for my taste; the adults also have a past and personality and emotional difficulties without sacrificing their position in the big picture. Korra seems completely overwhelmed by the task and the other guys are good at fighting mooks and giving limited emotional support, but that's kinda it. The adults also profit from already having plentiful dynamic relationships to each other you can uncover, and some of them are better at bending than the teens... or at least have unique styles like spiderman-metal-bending or air bending we only rarely see because of Korra.
Opinion may or may not be clouded by the concentrated awesomeness that's Lin Beifong. Goddamn I didn't expect that woman to turn out like this, in the beginning I thought she was just supposed to be a little nod to Toph.
Amon is Momo
HE'S ALIVE ALL THIS TIME

I can appreciate the tomfoolery the team gets up to with the fandom. Reminds me of VALVe a bit.
I thought they already greenlit a second season...
I'm certain that they had signed on for two seasons with option to renew, this coupled with the storyboards conceived beyond the coming events of season two gives us a pretty real possibility of another season or two.
I remember hearing someone stating that there will be a completely new villain in season 2.
So what will happen to Amon then?

Amon will split his soul, put it in 6 horcruxes and wait until' the time is right to strike again.
1st season isn't even done and there is already a parody series.
but there's only 1 season right?
nevermind, I was sure I read that there would only be one

I remember reading that they finished the voice acting for season 1 before another season was greenlit. So Amon will probably be sitting in a jail cell.
I hope they focus more on the character rather than shipping randomly with each other for the entire next season.

Or Amon will be killed, Avatar has done plenty of deaths in the past, Zhao, Jet, Combustion Man, all those poor fire soldiers in tanks.
