It just made me happy to see that Asami didn't go against her father in the beginning to be with Mako, she did it because she was against their methods and ideals
(Young Justice, for instance, likes to tease everything from twincest to impalement)
I am now setting my DVR to record young justice.
[sp]I was surprised at how easily amon was willing to give up as leader. I thought he would try to explain himself to his people[/sp]
[sp]
because he hated himself for who he was, even with a mask he hid his identity and claimed one he liked. And instead of accepting defeat he ran away from his problems taking his brother with him. And Amon knew he was going to be killed by his brother because he wanted to stop but couldn't and they both knew they were monsters because of their father.
[/sp]
The real loser here is not Amon but rather [sp]Asami, poor girl[/sp]
This disappointment over how this season ended is nothing compared to the sheer amount of assrage over ATLA's first season.
What a refreshing change.
The main detractor to this otherwise great season finale is the Aang Ex Machina

Haha.
Also, the Lt. is probably dead.

Being the Avatar has always been an excuse for a deus ex machina, even in the The Last Airbender.
The main detractor to this otherwise great season finale is the Aang Ex Machina
Well I sort of knew this was going to happen. Even if Amon could take away korra's bending away he couldn't take it away from every avatar ever since in the avatar state you get the power of every avatar and other energy bending junk and all that.
I wish there were 3 seasons like the last series and not one which was green lighted before 1 half season.
I think that the first series was on a much, much deeper level and that you ended up knowing and liking all the characters far more.
[sp]
WELL.
Amon is dead (phew)
Tarrlok is a bro
Asami better have something good happen to her in season 2, because fuck... poor girl :(
Mako is even more of a douche
I felt bad for Lt. and actually hope that he lives
Overall I think the finale is awesome as fuck, but I really hate the way everything is so fast-paced.
[/sp]
That was a great finale,I look foward to season 2.
Are those [sp]Anti Air cannons? Even though planes apparently didn't exist until today.[/sp]
Airships brah
Maybe its weird, but I think one of my biggest gripes with the finale was right after the [sp]boat explosion. I felt that it cut way too quickly. When I watched it on TV I thought it might have just been on Nick's end, but I watched it again online and the shot of the destroyed boat was really short. I felt that it would have been more poignant and thought provoking to have the camera linger, even for just a few more seconds, on the wreckage. It was like they were just trying to hurry it along and brush the end of two characters aside quickly.[/sp] Don't get me wrong, I still liked the finale, but its just something I've been thinking of.

I thought that too. [sp] It is probably because Nickolodeon wouldn't want them dwelling on the deaths of two characters or something.[/sp]

They may have shortened the length of that sequence just for time restrictions too...
i just watched the episodes
may i say that i have never had a tv show be more enjoyable then the best event in my life

really wondering what's going to be coming up for the next season
FUCK I CAN'T WAIT TILL FALL OR WINTER OR WHENEVER
The main detractor to this otherwise great season finale is the Aang Ex Machina
It wasn't really a Deus Ex Machina because the flashbacks had established that Aang could energybend and that Korra was getting closer to her spiritual side as Avatar. With her airbending block removed, she was able to fully enter the Avatar State and have her bending returned.
Bah, the Korra episodes are now region locked from Canada on nick.com, I wanted to re-watch the first 2 episodes.
weird that they're locked now, they have not been locked the last 2 months.
[editline]24th June 2012[/editline]
also [sp]I guessed that it was Aang when walked up to Korra at the end[/sp]

i didn't honestly, i was so surprised and i was fucking yelling in happiness
[sp]The boat scene is the single darkest thing I've seen presented in a kids show. Geezus.[/sp]

And I just noticed how my avatar almost totally belongs in this thread.

General Iroh and her hook up. Speculating, now.
Let's have Bolin get some love

she also has to deal with her father's company which might collapse or be beaten by cabbage corp.
But she could replace her father and like all hero-arch stories, forge the biggest business empire.
Or just become steampunk batman.

He does seem to be young enough for it to work.
