Whatever happens in the rest of the series, I hope they keep the darkness and violence up. Aang was way too merciful for me.

I hope Season 2 touches on this. Amon didn't invent the feelings of inequality - he emboldened and organized them.

I mean this hasn't solved the issue with the equalist movement at all. The LT has figured out that non benders have their own power and potential and if anything they're so much more dangerous to the peace than they were before.

I don't know about that. The Lieutenant seemed pretty disillusioned when he found out. This might even cause him to abandon it all.

I just finished watching the entire season.
In one sitting.
I was a huge fan of the original series (I can probably recite [i]The Ember Island Players[/i] from memory), but I just never had any time to watch the new series. Until today.
All I have to say is:
HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME
The animation is as good as it ever was - better, even. The writing wasn't quite as good as the last one, but given that it's the first season and the writers are still figuring all the characters out, it's excusable (and still pretty damn good).
And the fight scenes! Shit on a fucking STICK I think this show has better fight scenes than most actual action movies. The car chases! The kung-fu action! The MASSIVE AND RECKLESS DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
The only real problem is that it relies a lot on having watched the original series - they tend to throw in concepts that came from the old series without any real explanation. Which is fine by me, but it probably doesn't help attract new viewers.

So when does the new season start?

I've wanted jackets like this for some time, flight jackets like this can have alterations to look sci fi-ish yet you can wear it anywhere and look a cool cat with superfly.

the writers preped the story for something like that line, I guess they couldn't find a way to have someone to say the line to how they wanted it and left it for the viewer to figure out.
