The only thing this film currently has going for it (in my mind after BMVSM) is the fact that apparently Batman has a much bigger role than what we've already seen. The Joker looks fucking terrible and the rest of the cast aren't far behind. I'll go and see this to see more Batman and possibly be proved wrong by Leto, but I don't have high hopes.
if you're going in with that expectation i wouldn't be surprised to see you come back saying the movie was shit if it doesn't blow your mind. also why are you going to see a movie that you seemingly hate?
There have been rumors that the movie has gone through expensive reshoots to add more "fun" scenes in response to the reaction to Batman vs Superman.
to be fair every movie goes through reshoots, this shouldn't be news to anyone
There have been rumors that the movie has gone through expensive reshoots to add more "fun" scenes in response to the reaction to Batman vs Superman.
Jai Courtney said they were just for action scenes but that could just be damage control. Buuuuut, reshoots are typically booked weeks in advance so it could've been planned before BvS. Loadsa films do reshoots, doesn't inherently mean its reactionary. Hell Revenant had reshoots and its because of those that Tom Hardys not in SS

I can also base Leto's performance off the snippets released and the way he looks and is described, and he looks like a shit Joker.
But why go see it when a majority of DC movies are garbage? Keep them from getting your ticket sale until they realize how to actually use their ips
I don't pay to see films, I work in a cinema.
Does it take place before or after BvS?
There have been rumors that the movie has gone through expensive reshoots to add more "fun" scenes in response to the reaction to Batman vs Superman.
How desperate are you people getting in pulling the rumours out of your ass just to shit on DC. They do a great job shitting on themselves, so why bother? Every movie gets reshoots, literally every blockbuster now. But yeah, when Warner/DC does that it's obviously because they're scared and they're doing it to be more fun.
But why go see it when a majority of DC movies are garbage? Keep them from getting your ticket sale until they realize how to actually use their ips
lmao "majority of dc films are garbage" gimme a break. Every Disney-owned marvel film has basically been the same cut and paste mix of ~wacky gut splitting~ humour and far too busy action scenes. The only recent Disney-Marvel movie I've actually enjoyed was Guardians of the Galaxy and I'm still not entirely sure why. Asides from the Green Lantern and arguably BvS(bad reviews, but a disproportionate amount of viewers liked it), the majority of DC movies have had good reviews as well as a good audience reaction, and in the case of the Nolan trilogy fantastic reviews and audience reactions.

Like, if they heard the negative reception to BvS and decided to use that feedback in some reshoots on a different title in an attempt to make it more appealing then isn't that a good thing? Like, I don't want them to go full on madcap and whacky, but there should be some amusing shit. BvS tried so damn hard to be gloomy and dark and brooding. Felt like half the damn movie was slow-motion operatic macro shots. DC doesn't need to be and shouldn't be trying to emulate Marvel's live-action formula, but it doesn't have to be the complete opposite. It is okay for the movies to be fun, you know? [editline]10th April 2016[/editline]
How am i saying all marvel films are great? I like dc comics and games but its hard to deny anything outside of the nolanverse in the past 10 years hasnt been just mediocre as hell and needlessly edgy Would it kill them to make superhero movies with color and witty/funny dialog and a civilian deathtoll below 9/11 proportions?
Ye, DC has had a pretty dismal live-action history. Their animated shit is dope as heck though.
you can get away with a lot more in the animation realm
Arrow and Flash are pretty great shows, never watched Gotham so I can't say how good it is.
How am i saying all marvel films are great? It doesnt need to be marvel level of "make jokes every 5 seconds" but jfc does superman really need to be snapping necks and be constantly brooding?
Excuse me but I'll have you know that Green Lantern was not just mediocre, it was hot flaming trash and being edgy was not one of its problem. But seriously this is WBs problem. They tried to copy the Marvel formula and horribly failed so instead they went too far in the other direction with Snyder. Ayers hopefully taking it into a nice middling point.

I like dc comics and games but its hard to deny anything outside of the nolanverse in the past 10 years hasnt been just mediocre as hell and needlessly edgy
There have only been two DC movies since Dark Knight Rises, one being Man of Steel which wasn't great for the same reason Batman Begins is considered the weakest of the three Nolan films; it was mostly character development which doesn't make for great cinema the majority of the time. The other was Batman vs Superman which has such a polarizing effect on the audience no one can objectively say it is bad unless you only take the opinion of critics into consideration.
Ya i forgot to mention the shows, ive been watching like every dc animated show on netflix and theyre all pretty good, dunno how directors arent taking nods from jlu or b:tas
Dude check out Young Justice if you haven't already. Prolly the best thing DCAU has ever put out. Both seasons are on Netflix.

I'll watch it for the sake of watching it but I swear to god there better not be several origins crammed into one
i'm pretty sure tdkr is the weakest film of the nolanverse.
Not critically from both audiences and reviewers alike apparently, but I agree with you, and for me Batman Begins has always been my favourite of the three ironically.
man of steel was more than "not great", it was painful to watch. yeah marvel makes cheap entertainment but they haven't made a single movie that stooped that low
I don't even like Superman that much and I was able to sit through it so it's not that bad, I mean I'm not saying I liked it very much, it was just watchable.
I'm going to wait for reviews. I will not make the BvS mistake again.
Everyone saying "It looks more fun than BMVSM!" That's exactly because they've cut the trailers to make it look like that.
but you could tell bmvsm was shit from the first trailer.
Dunno why that would be a problem though. It is okay for the movies to be fun, you know?
It's not that it isn't a good thing, it's just straight-up untrue thing. The rumour started shortly after BvS premiere, and Latino Review or some other retard like that discovered conspiracy - Sigh! They're reshooting Suicide Squad! And automatically assumed the ideology that it's because BvS got shit reviews (yes, they're going to schedule reshoots in a week from reviewers' embargo), and obviously they're going to make it more fun. Even the rumour that Kit Harrington is in the running for the role of Nightwing has more substance and logical thought, despite me making it up on spot just now.
Even the rumour that Kit Harrington is in the running for the role of Nightwing has more substance and logical thought, despite me making it up on spot just now.
I'd want to see that.
I don't even like Superman that much and I was able to sit through it so it's not that bad, I mean I'm not saying I liked it very much, it was just watchable.
I really thought it was that bad though. It's Pa "maybe you should've let that bus full of kids die" Kent, Lois "I'll go where the plot needs me to be" Lane and Clark "destroying this man's livelihood is better than beating him up at a bar" Kent. It tries to tackle human issues while simultaneously being completely out-of-touch: none of the characters feel honest, none of the struggles feel real. I wish I could at least give it credit for being an entertaining action film, but even then it's just awful. Every shot is nauseating, and the effects added in post to make action scenes in alien planets look like handheld amateur camerawork were embarrassing. Headache-inducing when used for action scenes, and jarring when they shoehorn it into commonplace dialogue. Though I'll give them credit for those blatant and unintentionally hilarious shots of ihop and sears, for being some of the only entertainment I got out of the movie. It's an all-around tonally deaf, loud and pretentious mess of a film. I'll go on record saying Thor was a better movie than Man of Steel
Whoever's doing the editing for these trailers needs a fuckin raise.
I'd want to see that.
I don't. I'm sure he's a cool dude but the guy needs to learn more facial expressions than 'dull surprise'.
The Joker's car looks like a Hot Wheels car. Even if it's bad, i might get the soundtrack.
The main hope I have for this movie is that Snyder is staying the fuck away. I don't know much about David Ayer, but if he did End of Watch and Fury, I'd say at the very least it will be better than BvS.
It's weird and maybe I'm crazy but i really liked Watchmen but every other snyder movie bores me to tears
Probably because Watchmen is a shot-by-shot adaptation of a great comic book with only necessary changes, it's not like he had a lots of personal freedom to fuck shit up there.
