he will be inserted into the film just because the audience wants to see the Joker.
How the hell did you come to that conclusion?
Joker is out of place because he's not like the rest.
going back to my other post, when I look at this poster, I see that the Joker is terribly out of place from the rest, so it gives off the impression that he will be inserted into the film just because the audience wants to see the Joker.

But there's a theory going around the internet, not the retarded one with Jason Todd, but [sp]Joker is only in retrospection scenes, because in all the material he interacts only with Harley, so he serves for her backstory[/sp]
It's weird and maybe I'm crazy but i really liked Watchmen but every other snyder movie bores me to tears
Hey now, the Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty neat too.
Yeah.
BvS was possibly more constrained by movie execs wanting the film to lead into Justice League.

maybe they tried to get jared leto to stand with the rest but he was so in to character he refused to. dudes a madman
Ye, DC has had a pretty dismal live-action history. Their animated shit is dope as heck though.
Honestly, all their live-action stuff before Batman and Robin was pretty good, minus Superman 3 and 4. Even the TV shows.
Jared Leto is amazing, and seeing the Joker as an actual gangster rather than just a goofy lunatic will be refreshing since the last time that was done was with Jack Nicholson. People need to stop writing off/ hyping stuff before they even watch or play the media, it's become the norm and it's embarrassing.
Doesn't look like a gangster, looks more like a thug.
The only thing I dislike about Letos Joker so far are the tats [sp]which considering that Tattooed Man is in this film may be a plot point thanks to Ayers love of them[/sp] and the cringy on set stories. Aside from that I see no problems with Letos Joker so far
Also I don't get why people are saying Joker and Batman are forced in when your main character is Harley Quinn, AKA the 2 people her origin are extremely tied to.
Deadshot is still to much just Will Smith in Cosplay playing himself.
Here's a controversial statement: At the very end of the day, casting Will Smith as Deadshot will be a bigger misstep than casting Jesse Eisenburg as Luthor.

I think comic fans will get mad but outside of that Deadshot is relatively unknown enough that casuals will take him as the iconic version of the character for awhile since he'll be enjoyable enough.
I do hope I'm wrong though
It's not part of the DCAU.
DCAU ended with Justice League Unlimited.
Which is a shame cause it calls for a revival (or maybe expand on the live action DC comic shows into other channel distributions). Not having Arrow and The Flash be a part of the DC Cinematic Universe is a mistake. I watch the Marvel shows primarily because of its part in the MCU and how there are various references to the films.
DC Animated Universe? It's a DC animated series, so unless you're specifically referring to the Bruce Timm shows then ye it's part of it ain't it?
So... if this is in the same universe as BvS, then how the fuck did Buttman let Joker live?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if nobody working on Suicide Squad was told BvS Batman kills people.
So... if this is in the same universe as BvS, then how the fuck did Buttman let Joker live?
Maybe he put him in Arkham before he started killing and its only after BvS he's escaped? He seems to have sufficiently fucked him up by punching out all of his front teeth and forcing him to get caps though
yes
That fucking Joker laugh at the start, jesus christ
So... if this is in the same universe as BvS, then how the fuck did Buttman let Joker live?
There's a pretty interesting theory that the original Joker actually IS dead, and that this Joker is actually one of the Robins, kidnapped and tortured by the original Joker until he went insane.
The theory’s evidence comes from the shot of Robin’s costume in the Batman V. Superman trailer, and the publicity still of a shirtless Joker (above). If you look closely at both photos, you can see that Leto’s Joker and the Robin costume both have puncture wounds on the left and right shoulder. While it’s small detail to hang such a large theory on, but it does make some sense.
And when you think about it, the theory would explain how Leto’s Joker looks years younger than Affleck’s Batman, despite the two supposedly being mortal enemies for years and years. So, could it be possible that the original Joker seduced or mentally broke Robin into becoming a villain, figuratively “killing” him instead of literally? We would then assume that, somewhere down the line, the Joker then died, leaving the fractured Jason Todd to assume his mantle.
It wouldn’t be the first time a Robin turned into the Joker. In the DC Animated Universe’s Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, former Robin Tim Drake was brainwashed and manipulated into becoming the new Joker after the original Clown Prince perished
I thought the fan theory that Leto's joker is a delusional but famous celebrity/pop culture icon was pretty interesting as well.

Could be both theories are true. Robin is "abandoned" by Batman, tortured and twisted by the original Joker, and takes up the Joker mantle after his death in vengeance. He wants to publicly tear Batman down, reveal him to the world as a big joke, to force Brucr into realizing how pointless all his pain and sacrifices have been.
There's a pretty interesting theory that the original Joker actually IS dead, and that this Joker is actually one of the Robins, kidnapped and tortured by the original Joker until he went insane.
that would be a cool explanation of why BvS Batman doesn't just execute him, and in the process make Batman look like the most fickle vigilante ever for killing so many goons but sparing a way more dangerous criminal because of personal reasons
hey if we're lucky the hypocrisy might even convince him to stop murdering crooks altogether
I... actually really like the idea that Joker is a sort of celebrity, shame it probably isn't true
Nope, it's not a part of the Bruce Timm shows. His shows are considered a part of the DC Animated Universe (including Static Shock).
Shows like Teen Titans and Young Justice are standalone.
With the exception of Assault on Arkham, the straight-to-DVDs movies are also standalone.
Static Shock was the shiiiiit.
Nope, it's not a part of the Bruce Timm shows. His shows - and others aired during that time - are considered a part of the DC Animated Universe.
Shows like Teen Titans and Young Justice are standalone. Hal Jordan is prominent in Young Justice, which he never canonically existed in the DCAU (other than a time distorted cameo).

Huh, the more you know. I thought that all DC animated shows and movies were part of the DCAU. Like, I know Timm wasn't involved in Young Justice and that it is a standalone show, but I just figured, "It's DC, it's animated..."

There's a reason some people call DCAU "Timmverse"
Kind of interesting to note that in the bra shot you can clearly see that Margot is relatively flat, but in other shots and promo material she is fucking stacked. It seems pretty unnecessary but that's just me.
She looks so cold, why don't they give her some pants?
Also the celebrity theory is so damn good. Plus the flashy suits and cars don't really make sense for a straight criminal psychopath, so who knows.
I honestly dont think Harley ever works in live action, always comes off as annoying as fuck.
I do not understand the complaints about Harley being annoying. If nobody noticed, its her entire character: sociopathic and annoying as fuck.
The theory that the Joker in this could be a Robin is interesting. I'd love to see them go with Batman Beyond's story and make it Tim Drake.
I think the movie is probably post-BvS but there are flashbacks including Batman before BvS.
