Kevin O'Leary says 3.5 billion people living in poverty is 'fantastic news'

Congratulations, you posted a link to the study, which can not name one person who has over a trillion dollars worth of wealth. I am by no means saying what Kevin O'Leary said was correct, but that study is complete and udder nonsense.

It also really depends on the skills. Many skills that contribute nothing to society and don't bring people any joy make people millions.
fantastic news for him cause he don't gotta share his wealth. Greedy prick
He borrowed $10k from his parents to start a software company.
So he's saying I should ring up my Dad and ask for $10k and start a company wow haha its so simple now bye guys off getting rich
Does nobody even question these reports? For 85 PEOPLE to be equal to that much wealth, they would all have to be trillionaires. Not one single person on earth is a trillionaire. Only governments have that much wealth.
Can you show us your data? I'd like to see the process behind which you reached your conclusion.
Another problem I have with this line of thinking (poor? start a business! etc) is that it assumes everyone aspires to be a businessman. It's another occupation like most anything else, and a very small percentage of the population have the resources and inclination to do it. It's only because quality of life and personal wealth are connected (up to a point) that businessmen look to be so successful in life.
It's one thing to believe in capitalism, but this guy is just straight up rude. He didn't even try to comprehend the statistic that was being discussed.

And I really doubt he understands the living conditions some poor people live in. Some parents work 3 jobs just to bring enough to put food on the table and pay for rent. And at what cost? They almost all the time lose being a positive influence over their children and insuring a healthy growing environment.
Holy shit that guy is literally deluded.

Okay, I'll bite.
•The wealth of the one percent richest people in the world amounts to
$110 trillion. That’s 65 times the total wealth of the bottom half of the
world’s population.
• The bottom half of the world’s population owns the same as the
richest 85 people in the world.
110 trillion / 65 = 1.69 trillion.
1.69 / 85 = 0.019 trillion = 19 billion.
The 85 richest people in the world each have, on average, 19 billion.
Give him some slack. He didn't know she was asking him about the bottom half of the population. "No you're not [talking about the three and a half billion poorest people in the world who are living in abject poverty], you were just talking about really rich people."
If that's not narcissism, I don't know what is.
