Join the military. I don't owe a dime for my college. Got reimbursed for my books too.
Just draw a picture of the money you owe them and you rolling around in it with hot bitches everywhere.
go to a community college
It takes an engineer to laugh at a math formula.
Find the discriminant: x^2+3x+.25 3^2-4(1)(.25)=D 9-1=D 8=D
Wait guys, new development. Remember that exotic plant, I acquired, Hezzy 2? It wants blood, and grants wishes.
Pay off the debt with like 30 credit cards. It's like magic, your debt just vanishes.
Uhh, nanotech + business as a dual degree course isn't offered at any community college.
Yea, but you can easily clear out your geneds in community college then transfer in with enough credits to graduate normally.
What the hell are you taking that costs $200K?
Uhh, nanotech + business as a dual degree course isn't offered at any community college.
Transfer programs. Right now I'm going to a community college and don't technically have a major. I'm taking "basic" classes that the college I want to transfer to will accept for that major. In about 2 years ill be going to Texas A&M Galveston with a major in Marine Biology without spending the extra money on full tuition to TAMU. After I get my bachelors ill head out to TAMU Corpus Cristi for a graduates degree. (shit will start getting expensive but at least i saved money on the first two years)
Going to a four year college is a waste of money. Community college then a major is the "cheap" way to go.
Depends what you want to study; many perfectly lucrative and worthwhile majors cannot be effectively taught at community colleges nor within 2 years. Engineering (my own field), science, law, and medical degrees all require 4+ years of proper study but can be really rewarding careers if you happen to like the subject. If he intends to spend 200k then I assume he has picked a decent major and not something foolishly wasteful like "English Literature" or "Communications". Also, taking a year off between high school and university can be a poor choice. You get out of your school habits (making it harder to get back into the swing of things) and you start to accumulate debt, especially if you go on trips to faraway lands. It also looks bad on your application if they see you've taken a year to slack off. As for finding 200k, scholarships and grants from the university are your best hope. External scholarships may be available too if you apply to enough of them. Do the FAFSA too to see if you can get federal aid.
Join the military. I don't owe a dime for my college. Got reimbursed for my books too.
Yeah, but now you're in the military. Bet you didn't see that coming [editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
This is vary true.
No it isn't, the vast majority of people take a year off between high school and college.

My brothers didn't know what they wanted to do in life so they waited a year before going into college and ended up wasting money because they dropped out after a semester and joined the Air Force. It worked out for them in the long run though, the Air Force is taking good care of them.
Wait guys, new development. Remember that exotic plant, I acquired, Hezzy 2? It wants blood, and grants wishes.
Does it want your blood, a specific type of blood or just blood in general?
Wait guys, new development. Remember that exotic plant, I acquired, Hezzy 2? It wants blood, and grants wishes.
Your reference does not go unappreciated.
The thread title is so strange, like the OP just didn't realize until now that higher education costs money. Also, if you want to go to grad school like I do, community college is a lot less beneficial for applying and getting in.
My brothers didn't know what they wanted to do in life
So then wouldn't making any big decision be a horrible idea?
