i don't understand how you can deny something as traditional as the Olympics. Its not just a bunch of sports.
The only thing that I've ever really watched from the Olympics are the Tae Kwon Do matches. They're pretty intense.
I do have to agree with the poster above me, though. It's boring as hell if you're not into the sport and don't know a thing about the people who are competing.

I'm not crazy about the Olympics. It is a lot of money to spend.
The athletes involved are all the top in their field and people watch them regularly. It is understandable why we would have one huge amassing of all the best to face off.
Personally, I'm not that interested in the smaller matches either, but the resounding success of professional sports tells me I'm in the minority.
It's something for people to be passionate about.

And I live in Victoria, and I've been seeing this 2010 Olympic things for over 3 years in stores and everything.
It's really not that big of a deal, but I like them. I want my country to win. Usually I don't get excited for things like this, but hey It would probably be boring after there all the stuff is gone.

I saw the torch going by twice yesterday. Once by my school, being run by a student there. The other was in downtown Halifax, with a Special Olympics athlete.
