I'm convinced that with all the people and gear they have, they could have made something much more interesting than this. It's just a cheesy video game bang bang explosion teenager show. What a waste of effort.

Another case of a group thinking effects and a decent camera negates the need for decent dialogue and acting.

If I had a chance to make that show, I would have it that 25 computers are all hooked together and you are all in a survival game with half-life/horror elements to it (Run, think, shoot, live!) and split it into seven episodes of limited ammo, careful precision, death and fear.
While guns are nice, if they are scarce then they appear to be more effective (like in I Am Alive, the pistol felt really fucking powerful to me)

Watched the first episode and it's incredibly 'meh.'
It was corny and kinda silly, but it wasn't that bad. Freddie Wong is great and the rest of the team working on this seems good, the premise ain't that bad.
Thought it looked amazingly meh from the moment I watched the trailer. Pandering to that little youtube cod gamer niche a little too much for my liking. May check it out just for the sake of Brain Ferenzi and the rest of the 5SF gang, mostly because I'm curious to see what Mister Ferenzi does in his role.
When this was first announced I thought it would be a high school full of video game characters.
What a disappointment when it turns out to be a small group of boring COD fans.

I never really understood the hyper arrogant attitudes of 'pros'. I'm a bit bad at FPS's, but even if I had instant timing, I still wouldn't understand.
Games are for fun, and competition, not to brag about your fucking car and your GF, you know? No one gives a damn about anyone's personal lives other than idiots and 12 year olds. And, hey, being competitive in a game makes sense, but why are people such douche bags about it?

A lot of pros actually arnt like that.
Some are, but at least in the SC2 scene most of them are nice people, same with the Dota 2 scene, A lot of them stream and play with the viewers or explain what they are doing in game or even show themselves scrimming with other pro teams.
Im not sure about games like cs or CoD, the few I know from CS arnt arrogant

I liked it. Cheesy as hell sometimes but still good fun.
I like how cheesy it is, how can it not be with that kind of concept? It seems like some of you take the script as too serious, the terms and shit they put into it are just there to add to the cheese. From what I saw it is meant to be just a nonsensical series that isn't about realism, it is about the spectacle. I mean the whole concept is a video game crazed world that has an entire high school based on gaming, if it was meant to be serious it would be terrible. Either way, the series seems like a nice show to watch for the next nine weeks.
