Kids Choice Awards 2010- Shows How Dumb We've Become - General

Only winners I agree with are Jay-Z for Best Male Singer (out of those choices) and Up for Favorite Animated Movie. Black Eyed Peas as favorite music group? Seriously? They somehow went from ok to suck-ass-horrible in one album.

People aged 12-17 seem to hate the classics. Everyone in my film class hates The Godfather declaring it "boring and stupid". They love Twilight though, fuck me.

Say that somebody looks at a pile of puked on dogshit, and says "I like this". An average person would say "Well, that's dumb, it's dogshit.". They could say "well, it's my opinion".

The only thing that deserves to win on that list is Pixar's Up. It's the only thing I would consider entertainment.

Yeah from what I remember the KCA has always been very stupid, but you're putting votes in the hands of kids, the results are obviously going to be bad. Here's a couple of patterns I recall from what little I remember of it. - The cartoon that Nickelodeon pushes the hardest will [B]always[/B] win the award for best cartoon. No exceptions. For reference, the two cartoons which have monopolized this category are Rugrats (90s) and Spongebob Squarepants (about '02-Present) - The winner of best show overall is usually a sitcom. - Best movie is always in the Action or Comedy genres. Sequels have an extremely high chance of winning. Disney and Nick movies gets a free ticket into this category and can get around the aforementioned rules. - Best actor/actress will always be won by the same person more than once. - Video games depend on number of commercials and require an E rating (T rating can get nominated). There are probably other rules but I stopped caring before they added Video Games as a category. - While it's obvious that the iconic status of "slime" has declined to a completely insignificant point, KCA will completely deny this and act as if "slime" is still the beloved icon it was in the 90s. -The same celebrities appear every time and none of them seem like they should be anywhere near an event like this.

Fuck it all, if you exclude Mario Kart, Spongebob, and Jim Carrey.

At least Spirit Tracks got second place in the Games category. I say it deserved it.

Kinda funny how most kids like Lady Gaga. I wonder how many of them get the extremely obvious sexual overtones.
