It's not just "THEY'RE KIDS SHOWS AND ARE DUM :saddowns: " Guys. We look at our Children's Shows, and the ones before us, even, then we look at today's Children's Shows. We wonder how the fuck things could go so downhill in one generation. I [I]still enjoy[/I] watching things from my childhood. Even some things I didn't even watch back then. They don't just remind me of THE GOOD OLD DAYS HURP DURP, they're legitimately funny at times. Also, A few things, sir with the large post above me: "KIDS ARE STUPID. YOU LIKED STUPID THINGS TOO- DON'T GET SO ANGRY ABOUT IT."- Sure, from years 1-7. I remember liking Mainstream Pop, and [I]Claiming[/I] to like Hip-Hop Until about age 7, when I heard AC/DC on a commercial and went "What have I been listening to?" "WHAT WERE YOU DOING WATCHING THAT AT 3 AM, ANYWAY?"- He already answered that he was up late, nothing else was on, and he wanted to see how bad it would get. :v: "CHILDREN AREN'T GOING TO LIKE THE STUFF YOU FIND INTERESTING TODAY. IT'S TOO COMPLICATED."- That's simply not true. I enjoyed 8th Grade Level reading in 2nd Grade, some people in my class liked higher. The point being that it's not completely ridiculous for children to like something deeper than "NORMAL GIRL GOES UP AGAINST POPULAR GIRL IN X, GETS EMBARASSED ALONG THE WAY." It's not just the children being stupid- Children's Media has honestly gotten really, really bad. (In myself and many other's opinions.)
