Trees from typical Xmas Tree farms cost upwards of $100. You're actually getting a pretty good deal here considering that if he gets it with only one or two shots what you'd save.

Uhh, what? He stands all of five feet back (I don't know who in their right mind would shoot a tree point black with a shotgun, you'd have to be a retard because that's dangerous) and then fires directly at the tree. I don't even understand how the "aim at the very edges of the bark" this isn't Call of Duty and he's using buckshot.
Where I live most christmas trees are 80-100 dollars, I'd pay the same price to watch someone cut it down with a shotgun.
