i enjoyed it
I love kendrick and I love taylor swift but they don't really go well together
Looks like somebody watched Sucker Punch a few too many times.
-and tried to jam as many tron/fifth element references as posible without spoiling them.
Yes, because I have a different opinion than you that makes me a 12 year old, you're not a 12 year old for liking someone like Taylor Swift or anything
if you actually think taylor swift has no talent you have about as much of an ear for music as a pre-teen, sorry pal [editline]19th May 2015[/editline] good music video though, shitty kendrick lamar, but there's a faith from mirror's edge look-a-like so i'm down
You're delusional if you think she has no talent. You don't have to like her to realise that she does. It's not like someone lacking talent can just go and collect dozens of music awards over the years. [editline]19th May 2015[/editline] This song isn't about love.
Its clearly about love. Or at least, the "bad blood" between previous lovers. She even says "if you love like that, you'll live with ghosts". Pretty clear indication that she's singing about love. Can't say I'm surprised either, love sells.

Taylor Swift is considerably talented.
It's actually about another pop artist, believed to be Katy Perry [editline]19th May 2015[/editline]
It's about what happened between her and Katy Perry
this guy knows what's up
It's actually about another pop artist, believed to be Katy Perry [editline]19th May 2015[/editline] this guy knows what's up
When I first heard it the song reminded me of Katy Perry because of the little "hey" samples in there, similar to Katy's Roar. Seeing that now, that was likely the intended purpose of it.
I didn't like the original version of Bad Blood, but I love this Kendrik Lamar remix. Glad these two got to team up.
laaaaaaaaaaame can these pop artists at least TRY to make something that sounds a little bit different from the rest of their songs
You are allowed to not like this kind of music, but it sounds like you didn't even bother listening to more than just the small bits of pop music you happen to come across on the radio or something.
It's actually about another pop artist, believed to be Katy Perry

Swift added that the anger behind the tune stemmed from the fact that the artist “basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” That’s an easy hint — some of Swift’s back-up dancers abruptly left her “Red” tour for Perry’s “Prism” tour last summer. Throw in the fact that Perry dated Swift’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer, plus Perry’s vague tweet alluding to serious ish with another lady, and the blogosphere happily braced for a throwdown between the two superstars.
I honestly cannot adequately describe my feelings on this. It's just a blend of apathy and confusion so I will just say the following. Earning $55,000,000 in a single year, who really gives a flying fuck.

fun facts about bad blood video: 1. there's approximately 130 setups in this video 2. this video was filmed in 4 days 3. i'm guessing it probably cost somewhere in the 3-5 million dollar range in summary, imagine how katy perry feels having someone spend 3-5 million dollars on making a shade throwing video
Celebrities are people too, you know. They have feelings and that's what many of them write their songs about.
There is a difference between having feelings and indulging in such pettiness while earning more money than most communities cumulatively within a lifetime. Also I wouldn't be surprised if this bit of 'drama' was manufactured for some mutual publicity pushing.

[editline]20th May 2015[/editline]
Also I wouldn't be surprised if this bit of 'drama' was manufactured for some mutual publicity pushing.
they're both literally the most famous music artists around, you weirdo
How dare this woman have problems with another person when she earns more money than the average person!!
How dare I think spending, if Lord Crypto is correct, 3-5 million on a "shade throwing video" is a bit pathetic.
they're both literally the most famous music artists around, you weirdo
Drama sells, you pleb
envy over other people's earnings and spendings is also very pathetic but whatever shell you live in I guess
How dare I think spending, if Lord Crypto is correct, 3-5 million on a "shade throwing video" is a bit pathetic. Drama sells, you pleb
It's not like she spent $3-5 million (If that's the correct figure) and sent Perry the video, this is a music video, which like all other music videos are made to generate money and advertise the single/album.
that was actually pretty good, i thought kendrick was alright here
Kdot too good for this
How dare I think spending, if Lord Crypto is correct, 3-5 million on a "shade throwing video" is a bit pathetic. Drama sells, you pleb
the song was written because that is how she deals with problems if the song hadn't been about katy perry it still would have cost 3-5 million dollars
This is so surreal to see Facepunch debating over a Taylor Swift song I always thought people saw her as just another generic pop star :v:
/snip
honestly wish they'd just made a longer video with bigger cameos (beyond like half a second), some sort of a plot line, and kept in Taylor's verses. but holy fuck the dissonant basslines they added over the hook are incredible so I'm ok with this
It's my honest fucking opinion that Kendrick is one of the best rappers alive right now.
I second this
