Like it matters anyways. Since it's 64 block based there really isn't any reason to use it. Surfaces shared between 2 blocks are ignored, and it's the same case with the ones that are turned towards the void. Nodraw's only useful for blocks that are visible from within the map, but not from anywhere the player can access.
this on the other hand is informative and constructive, and you didn't even feel the need to insult the intelligence of the person you were replying to, and for that you are awesome.
can we get a new video?
can we get a new video?
I feel like a kid on Christmas with all the f5 mashing I'm doing right now.
no. its actually one of the most complex level editors out there
Have you used UDK or the Creation Kit? Only advantage they have is that they're regularly updated, so they have useful technologies that hammer doesn't *cough* useful lighting preview *cough* But that doesn't make them easier, it just saves a little time.
- never mind -
Re-up now.
I'm asking for a re-up, not doing one.
Hammer's not that hard to work with, it's actually one of the most simple map editors out there.
Not to mention that you can put a lot more detail into a map with hammer than with this.
Not to mention that you can put a lot more detail into a map with hammer than with this.
Yeah well that's a given, I'm glad they're allowing you to export to hammer, that'll be great.

If that's what people really want to make, then whatever, but I for one think it's great that Valve is allowing everyone to try their hand at level design.

Got dammit Viacom, go back into that hole you came from.
Valve wanted the video in the OP taken down. That is why it was removed by the user.
People seem to conflate the difficulty of hammer with the difficulty of level design and the patience required to make a map.

That is not the video that was in the OP.

Placing objects on terrain isn't quite the same idea.
What the fuck does Viacom have to do with anything Portal related?
