Do you have a detailed list of everything that was in the unit? If not, make one. Especially before going to the police. IF you happen to have any receipts for some of the electronics and what-not, even better. Do you have a lawyer? If not, find one. Don't go to the police with ONLY a story.
It's stories like these that make me happy I have a friend with their own firm.

I will never get it back but today I went to the cops and they told me they would go down and speak to the on site employee and talk to the owner. We will see what gets done.
