This episode was alright but I feel it was to focused on the two groups, it needed more scenes with the group as a whole perhaps with a few wingers or racist comments by Pierce.
What the hell happened to this show?
I'm not saying it in a bad way but compared to the first season, this is way different
It's been out there since the paintball episode.
Shouldn't you be making weird art movies or well-engineered cars?

Last ep was amazing.
Funny that people are asking why it's different; I thought this episode was more similar in feel to the earlier seasons than the rest of the eps of season 3 thus far.
The noise the cat made when the panel appeared made me laugh so hard.
I just couldn't believe they got the cat from DBZ
im amazed how many anime cliches they hit within like a minute
Fucking great episode. Nearly on par with the Chaos Theory one

That one sucked. all episodes that must inherently repeat themselves suck

Was the plotline too complicated for you, or something, Rusty?
I liked this one and I hated chaos theory

Whoa shit look at the window in the last scene.
Uh, that's kinda the whole point of the video.

no, it was just a bad episode. the latest one was much better.
Totally ran into Danny Pudi outside our hotel at SDCC this year. My dad went "Holy shit that's Abed!" and I got a picture with him, really nice guy. He touched my shoulder, but I felt bad because I was all hot and sweaty. :(

I jest. I just don't see how someone could find it to be a 'bad episode', unless they didn't understand it. Take my mother, who kept saying, "Wait, what are they doing? Why are they repeating everything over again? How many times are they going to go down for pizza?" - even after Contag and I paused the episode for half an hour to explain, inasmuch as was possible, the many worlds interpretation. Then, I could see why she thought it was it was a bad episode.
Glad you liked this one, though.
So I keep hearing people say they love this show.. and I'm trying very very hard to get into it, but I have not laughed after 4 episodes. I just can't find it funny.

Where did you start? A lot of the jokes rely on having seen past episodes.

Why would I not understand it? I just find that any reason for something having to repeat itself so often (I know groundhog day does this and everybody loves it, but i haven't even seen it) is just frustrating and I don't want to watch someone say the same line over and over for whatever reason. i don't typically enjoy 'alternate dimension whatifs' that involve repeating a large portion leading up to the change. it makes the whole episode feel like 50% or more of the exact same footage repeated
I just watched the entire show in 3 days. Good series. Annoyed that I got through it so quick though, back to being bored. :(
it also wasn't that funny

Yeah, as I said before - I was joking. I don't actually believe that you're too stupid to fail to understand it (my mother doing so is largely because she comes from another culture).
I've seen Groundhog Day, didn't enjoy it at all. One of the things I love about Community is that it uses popular tropes and puts its own spin on it, usually - I believe - to great effect. You don't have to enjoy the trope itself to enjoy the way it's portrayed or interpreted in the show. Fair enough that you didn't enjoy that episode; we all have our personal tastes. I didn't think that the show spent that much time repeating things (certainly not 50%, for sure) - much of the episode's humour was derived from the fact that each of the situations changed according to which member of the group left, and also the denouement (which I thought was sentimental, but appropriate).
Conversely, I usually quite like zombie-themed media, and I didn't enjoy Community's zombie Halloween episode at all. At the end of the day, I still feel as though it's miles ahead of any other TV sitcom out there - even when I rate the episode itself low comparatively.
The show is on hiatus? Why? Just as I start watching it. :(
I read a theory that the entire season is a metaphor for the show possibly ending, with the Dean starting with a "evil timeline" goatee, and that he says: "this year isn't going to be that different, with the notable exception we really won't have any money." which could be a metaphor for the funding the show gets, and how the Vice Dean is NBC and the Dean is us in that first episode of the season.
It'd be deep if that were true.
