Yeah, as I said before - I was joking. I don't actually believe that you're too stupid to fail to understand it (my mother doing so is largely because she comes from another culture). I've seen Groundhog Day, didn't enjoy it at all. One of the things I love about Community is that it uses popular tropes and puts its own spin on it, usually - I believe - to great effect. You don't have to enjoy the trope itself to enjoy the way it's portrayed or interpreted in the show. Fair enough that you didn't enjoy that episode; we all have our personal tastes. I didn't think that the show spent that much time repeating things (certainly not 50%, for sure) - much of the episode's humour was derived from the fact that each of the situations changed according to which member of the group left, and also the denouement (which I thought was sentimental, but appropriate). Conversely, I usually quite like zombie-themed media, and I didn't enjoy Community's zombie Halloween episode at all. At the end of the day, I still feel as though it's miles ahead of any other TV sitcom out there - even when I rate the episode itself low comparatively.
why didn't you enjoy Groundhog Day?
Man that was so good, if you haven't listened to Glovers band Childish Gambino you should, it's amazing. How many more episodes until the break?
Break starts after tomorrow's episode
Just rewatched some old episodes, found this amusing. [t]http://i53.tinypic.com/b4yurk.png[/t] [editline]fart[/editline] [t]http://i51.tinypic.com/9ga738.jpg[/t]
why didn't you enjoy Groundhog Day?
I was born a year before the movie released, and I only saw it on reruns and whatnot as a young child - so admittedly, then, I don't have a terribly clear idea of what it's like. From my childish interpretation of it, it seemed like most of Rusty's objections to the Community ep were what I found irritating - the constant set-up, etc. (I probably had a short attention span). Also, it seemed a bit overly sentimental in its ending. Plus, I'm not American, so I never got the idea of Groundhog Day. I might try re-watching it, though; would you recommend? Edit: I did enjoy the episode of Buffy where they use the same conceit - but that was 45 minutes, and pushing it for novelty factor. An entire movie length seems a bit OTT to me. But then again I enjoy every episode of Buffy, so...

Is the Christmas episode tomorrow going to feature that rap song? It's called Regional Holiday Music so meh?

The Christmas episode has to be one of the greatest episodes ever.

Him waking up everyday isn't used for comedic effect all the time, it's a pretty philosophical movie. Buddhists love it. In Groundhog Day Phil's days last a lot longer and a lot more happens (character development/drama wise) so it's not a constant barrage of comedy while the community episode time lines were fit into a few minutes and pure comedy. It's one of my favourite movies.
I think I like this show.
Annie's outfit during that song... in fact, that song... But to be quite honest, wasn't that great of an episode; I still think the foosball one was the best so far of this season.
I'm going to be furious if this is the final episode of the series.
This made me a little bit sad.
Still a spot left for paintball...

I pissed myself laughing at the end of Annie's song.
Pierce can't sing. His bit didn't sync up. Still watching the episode.
Those static circles. That was what got me =/
First episode, Halloween, Christmas, Paintball. Rocket Science, Halloween, Christmas, Paintball. Chaos Theory, Halloween, Christmas, ... Are we seriously gonna have a third paintball episode?
Didn't they say no more paintball episodes? At least I hope they did because it would really be going overboard
First episode, Halloween, Christmas, Paintball. Rocket Science, Halloween, Christmas, Paintball. Chaos Theory, Halloween, Christmas, ...
