irreversible. maybe enter the void but i dunno. i generally recommend that movie to anyone cause it's like the best movie evar.
martyrs is one with minimal actors as well. and it's pretty brutal, same with irreversible
again with the gaspar noe cock suck but i think "i stand alone" (that's the english title, it's a french movie like irreversible) could meet your needs. it has a minimal cast and focuses on the struggles of a deviant butcher.
Pi is a darren arnofsky film with minimal actors, least i think so.
god damnit i just thought of the perfect movie for op but forgot... maybe it was Pi.

also i third primer. primer is another one of my most very favorites and it's insanely minimal even though the movie is about... well, just watch it.
Check out Dead Man. It's a strange, slow paced movie. There aren't alot of characters to remember but the movie itself is like I alredy mentioned kind of strange.

Looks interesting because the entire movie takes place in this one apartment, and the cast is comprised of relatively good actors.
Into the Wild was very good.

i'm talking about the 1979 or whatever version by the slavic director

I've seen Stalker (by Andrei Tarkovsky), but I don't think it's really like the movies mentioned in the thread title.
However, it still remains my favorite movie of all time.
Hard Candy

Psychological thriller focusing on a sexual predator (Patrick Wilson) and a not-so-innocent 14-year-old girl (Ellen Page). Naturally, the film gets uncomfortable quick (if only for the scenario), but the performance of both actors (especially Ellen Page) pulls you in so deep that you'll probably want a break to chill out after the film. Practically the entire film is set in one location (ie: a house), and there's absolutely no need for visual special effects. This is story and performance alone.
This film was also my introduction to Ellen Page as an actor, instead of a much calmer mainstream film like, say, Juno. :v:
i think the performance by nite owl is much better than hers

The name itself makes me think of sexual predators but that's just me

Wait, was there a remake?
Rear Window is a classic film (directed by Alfred Hitchcock) with a very minimal amount of actors and it all takes place in an apartment. You should definitely check it out.
