You know what, I shouldn't say that [sp]about Shane. Otis put Carl and thus Shane and himself in that situation in the first place, and he's a giant slow lard ass so.. Shane did what he had to do for Carl[/sp]
[sp] He's fat so we might as well kill him [/sp] :downs: [sp] If he really wanted to get the medical supplies to carl he could have shot himself in the leg and got otis to carry it instead of being a selfish bastard. If you've ever gone hunting, you'd know it's not that easy to see someone that you aren't directly looking at. With most of the population being a zombie, I'm sure the last thing he was expecting was to find three survivors wandering around the woods. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]More like he's so fat that he runs as fast as a dude with a sprained ankle and now he's out of ammo so he's useless except as a very large meal, fuck him for putting them there in the first place sort of deal[/sp]
So [sp]Shane killed Otis[/sp] I'm guessing this won't end well.
I hope this turns into a deep dark secret that Shane keeps for a while (maybe spanning over seasons if the show goes on for that long), rather than a cliche, in 2 episodes "omg shane y did u do that i hate u" "im sry" "oh its k just dun do it agaen"
Think about this, though. If [sp]Shane would've shot him in the head, there wouldn't be a zombie roaming around. With what he did, there's now the possibility that they'll just think that zombies got him.[/sp] Besides, think about the zombie in the tree, look at his legs. [sp]Look at where Otis got shot. That eliminates the evidence.[/sp] Of course, that's just incase they go searching for him.

So theoretically that would work with any area of the body

My only complaint is at one point Otis fired the revolver and you could hear a bullet shell clink on the ground
I know, just saying that the evidence would likely be destroyed.
Same as if he [sp] put one in his skull though. Also I doubt there's going to be a zombie Otis around seeing as around 3 dozen zombies went to town on him. [/sp] [editline]30th October 2011[/editline]
-spoilers-.
might want to sp tag that
Alright.
SPOLERSSSSSS For others, anyway
Goddamnit Shane
Is T-Dog the TV version of Tyreese? I hope he isn't..
Is T-Dog the TV version of Tyreese? I hope he isn't..
No?
Got bit. Fever hit. World gone to shit. Might as well quit. lol
amazing ending no matter what you think of what Shane did, you've got to admit it made him that much more interesting.
[sp]He could have at least shot him in the head or somewhere where the man doesn't have to be eaten to death filled with anger[/sp]
Got bit. Fever hit. World gone to shit. Might as well quit.
Went out like a boss.
Went out like a boss.
Not really, dangling by his neck like a pinata.
I would have done the exact same as Shane. It was part payback and part survival. I'm glad to see one of the characters has hit their boiling point. I'd like to see more developments like this happen throughout each of the characters (Perhaps it already has with Carl)?

Fatty was running faster than the guy with the hurt leg. It's just fucked up how badly Shane treated Otis from beginning to end. Personally, as Shane, I would have left fatty and gone back for Glen to get the meds. At least Glen could run faster.

Well that was disappointing. Now, I'm not sure if the story Rick was telling Lori in the beginning while Shane and Otis were running through the school, (because they left the sound in on that scene which made it hard to listen to the Southern accent stumble through that badly written little anechdote,) was supposed to foreshadow what Shane was going to do to survive, but if it did, I guess it would have made what he did seem less like a huge U-Turn on his character. Earlier in the episode, hell, even in the last episode Shane seemed a bit put out at Otis, sure. But he still valued the life. When Otis offered to draw away the zombies while they were stuck on the bleachers, Shane was unsure. Hell, he even saved Otis in that scene. [sp]Then, suddenly, "Hey, they're still 120-130 feet away, I'm just gonna shoot you because we probably won't think of anything else in that time." Shit, Shane and Otis fought for a good 30 seconds and even then, Shane got a good distance before the zombies swarmed Otis.[/sp] That didn't exactly spell out certain doom at that exact moment. [sp]Not to mention shooting him in the leg was a real dick move.[/sp] Okay, fine, they want us to hate Shane. They should've put some work into that over the last three episodes instead of suddenly shoe-horning it in at the last second because they thinks it gives them balls. (Speaking of the writers here. Probably the same writer who wanted the zombie autopsy despite the fact they already hacked a zombie into pieces in the last season.) [sp]Saving Carl[/sp] was the only accomplishment they made in three episodes. Three whole episodes, with one of them sixty-eight minutes instead of just forty-two. [sp]And in the next episode, they're STILL looking for the girl?![/sp] Shit, that happened half an hour into the first episode and they've been on it for the rest of it and two more! Having an accomplishment or some kind of conclusion to something an episode starts in the same episode does not make a show formulaic. The comic has to be moving faster than this, right? I hope this improves.
yeah it's starting to get stupid that they can't wrap up the little girl stuff, I'm not sure I can stand another episode of it.
I agree the directing was kind of lame: [sp]If Shane is going to sacrifice him, keep it simple and quick. Shane grabs Otis's gun, then shoots Otis in the leg, then runs for it. That way it's consistent with the idea that zombies are on their ass. With both of them stopped there and wrestling for a bit it makes no sense.[/sp]
I do agree that the whole ordeal in the last bit felt unnecessary. I wasn't getting a sense of immediate danger do or die type scenario. It felt more of just "Eh, why the fuck not?" Rather than "This is the end of the line. I need to make some tough choices." Also that fucking little girl is starting to anger me. I dislike the subplot because it's not interesting and it's being dragged out for far too long. That shit shoulda wrapped up in episode 2.
Shane turned heel!
Finally, some moral ambiguity. Something this show was lacking from the comics.
God damnit, Carne. Don't enter this thread because there will always be one dickwad who spoils something.
Kinda cool series, but the characters are still exactly the same.. as in, no character development since season 1. It's just that there's not much zombie series out there. But it's still not a great series.
So, 8 episodes this season, the 7th on November 27th (spoiler in the title), and 8th on February 12th? What the fuck?
