Glenn is awesome in the comic but he practically doesn't exist in season 2 [editline]1st November 2011[/editline] Well the last episode was my overall favorite in the whole TV series
I reckon he'll be gettin' some of Maggie's poontang before too long.
deryl dixon is the coolest mother fucker ever
Last episode made me angry, [sp]Shane or whatever his name is shot Otis, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever.[/sp]
Last episode made me angry, [sp]Shane or whatever his name is shot Otis, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever.[/sp]
Read last page to perhaps discover why it was reasonable
Last episode made me angry, [sp]Shane or whatever his name is shot Otis, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever.[/sp]
Did you even think about it? [sp]They were going to get caught up by walkers eventually, Shane acted quickly to survive and used Otis to slow them down. If he didn't they probably would have never gotten out of there alive.[/sp]
[sp]I still like shane[/sp]
Guys the season barely started, I don't see why you guys have your minds set on this being all season 2 is composed of. No one can say "glenn doesn't exist in this season" because we haven't even seen the rest of it. I admit it is a pretty slow start but it is building up to something good, I can feel it.
[sp]I still like shane[/sp]
I like him because he's trying. Even though he's done fucked up shit, he is still trying to keep everything going smooth and you can't help but sympathize with the guy at times.
Last episode reminded me of this old L4D comic. http://www.deviantart.com/download/105379377/Left_4_Dead_by_SleepDepJoel.jpg It's pretty wide, so I only linked it.
The problem with [sp]Shane shooting Otis[/sp], it didn't feel necessary. I like the scene in concept, I don't like the way they executed it. They should have had [sp]Otis carrying the pack in his hands, maybe rummaging through it for spare ammo. Shane realizes the horde is nearly in arms reach, so he grabs the pack, Otis has a "What are you doing?" expression on his face, then Shane shoots him and hobbles away as the horde tears Otis apart.[/sp] There shouldn't have been time for them to wrestle for the pack, it makes what Shane did seem plain cold blooded instead of doing what he had to to survive. And the Sophia business, that definitely needs to get wrapped up ASAP. The character is not important enough to the audience for it drag on this long. If it had been Carl that was missing, we might care more, but Sophia has just been a background character thus far, so we (or I, at least) don't care that she's missing. At this point I care more about what happened to Merle than I do Sophia.
Anyone know where I can view the episodes online (first 3 of the season, and if it isn't illegal, Netflix just hasn't gotten them yet :/)
I wonder what happened to the chopper Rick saw in atlanta. Maybe it was the helicopter crew from Day of the Dead?
I hope they find Sophia zombified.
I hope they find Sophia zombified.
At least that would allow for some interesting plot turns.
I wonder if they'll include [sp]Hershel's zombies in the barn[/sp].
I wonder if they'll include [sp]Hershel's zombies in the barn[/sp].
[sp]Well, given how optimistic he seems to be about a cure being possible, I wouldn't be surprised.[/sp] It's also kind of weird how the walkers haven't found Hershel's farm at all yet.
It's also kind of weird how the walkers haven't found Hershel's farm at all yet.
[sp] I wouldn't be surprised if the whole area is cordoned off with zombie guts, or just the fact that (if they do it) the barn is full of dead people, and no walker is interested since they can't see the humans/smell them unless they go outside. Even so, it'd probably be only one or two walkers at a time. Easily dispatchable. The horses would draw too much noise though, so hrm. I'm going to attribute it to bad writing. That, and there's not many walkers in the area anymore. Daryl and Andrea found, what, one? Hung in a tree? Although, they could have found more and dispatched.[/sp]

Wow, the end of Episode 3... That... THAT is how you build a character.
Sophia and her mother can pretty much die now theyre like goats in the background
I would of said [sp]Sophia will definatly be found because she is still in the comic, but after Otis being killed when he is meant to die in the prison made me start to be on edge, who will survive? I'm glad they killed Otis off, only because now I'm not thinking 'wont die yet, dies soon, wont die yet...' Then again Otis in the comic didn't really do much until his death so maybe he was extra expendable.[/sp]
In one of the early scenes involving Hershel's farm [sp]you can see the barn in the distance. So it would be a bit lame if they skip right past it. Also, isn't his son or son in law in the barn along with neighbours and friends? It's been a while since I last read the comics.[/sp]
TV show Hershel seems a bit more reasonable than comic Hershel so I could see it being cut

I really enjoyed the last episode, EXCEPT for the boring ass conversations between the main guy and his wife. Maybe it was just the ending that did it for me, had me all hyped up.
I like the comics on their own but i like the series for trying to develop outside of them, makes it good for the viewer.
I like the comics on their own but i like the series for trying to develop outside of them, makes it good for the viewer.
Yes, I agree. Keeps the story unpredictable. However, I really hope they start touching more on the themes present in the comics, like they did with the last episode.
I dont want them to go too deep into the comics, i mean following certain parts is fine but if it just all ends up like the comic's there is no surprise left.
I hope they find Sophia zombified.
That would end up with her mother crying for three episodes straight until they all get pissed off and shoot her.
That would end up with her mother crying for three episodes straight until they all get pissed off and shoot her.
Hah, like they'd ever do something that pleasing for the viewers.
