Why the fuck are they going on hiatus until February after next week's episode? I don't want to sit and wait around for this show.
Ratings determine how much a show's network can charge for advertising. Higher ratings= higher rates.
Now ratings are sampled in three periods, called 'sweeps': November, February, May. Whatever ratings your show gets in those 'sweeps' is what your rate is based on.
For shows with full(24) episode runs, they can stretch all the way from November to May. They just sprinkle repeats in between 'sweeps'. That's why you see lots of reruns in January to early April.
For shows with short runs, like Walking Dead, they can show them all at once but then they only cover one 'sweeps'. For instance, there aren't enough episodes to stretch from November to February, even by showing repeats. So what they can do is show a bunch of new episodes around November, getting credit for that sweeps period, then show the rest around February(or May) and get credit for that period.
I think this is what is going on here, with Walking Dead doing so good they want to maximize the credit they get for high ratings.
In Episode 11 it was really funny when Shane pierces the old guy's soul with his stare.
I liked Shane at first but now [sp]I hope Carl shoots his ass.[/sp]

He was fine up until last episode IMO. What happened there is blatant foreshadowing for his death.
Andrea's man hands on Shane's pants.
Boy was that a sight I'd never want to see.
I hope there is a scene later where Shane and Glen are standing near each other as Andrea walks by. Shane says "She grabbed my sack the other day and next thing you know, I was hitting that" and Glen says "I don't blame you, I would've punched her in the face too if she tried to touch my nads."

Haha holy shit it's even more soulless than I remember.

He did that several times, my wife and I were laughing.

Nice spoiler tags there.
Heard so much about the comics, should I read them or are they going to "ruin the experience" so to speak with the TV-show?
Feel free to read the comic. The TV show seems to be going along a different path, so you won't get spoiled.
So basically, they're keeping Shane alive in the show so they can make him a bigger douche than he was in the books?
I hope Andrea fucking dies.
;33425831']I hope Andrea fucking dies.
[sp]Well you will be disappointed if the show sticks to the comics regarding her. She is one of the very few original survivors who has survived the entire time.[/sp]
I preferred the city setting. Yeah, it's nice to get away from the chaos once in a while, but it's getting a bit boring just sticking to a peaceful farm the whole season. Felt nice to be back in an overrun suburban setting for a few minutes.
I don't think they'll kill off [sp]Shane any time soon. He's one of the few characters with picture and actor name during the starting credits. Which basically means they'd have to change them if he died. Which most likely wouldn't happen until a new season.[/sp]
Well, the webisodes don't have the best acting ever :v:
I feel for some reason that your avatar is quite appropriate for thet post.
The webisode acting was pretty bad, to be honest. Although considering that the woman is the extra who was the Bicycle Girl, it kind of makes sense I suppose
I just watched episode 6. I thought it was a brilliantly done episode, and contained very little fluff or boring parts. However, I want something cataclysmic to happen, I want something to be turned on it's head. I feel/characters are too comfortable in this setting and I want it to be balls to the wall again.
I love the emergence of Glenn as a character, also.

At least the whole Hershey wanting everyone to leave and having a barn full of dead people is leading up to what might make things more interesting.
The only good bit of the farm parts of the series has been the introduction of Otis, who lasted a grand total of 1 episode. You know I bet he would have found Sophia.
I don't get why everyone likes Otis so much. He did jack shit, and then he got killed.
I don't get why everyone likes Otis so much. He did jack shit, and then he got killed.
Yeah, I don't get it either. He didn't have enough screen time for me to form an attachment to him.
He was fat and lovable.
Just his appearance made him likable to me, he was the big fat guy, that seemed to look out for everybody.
A lot more interesting than you know, farm girl 1, farm girl 2, farm boy 1. Maggie and Hershel are the only ones that have really gotten screen time. Otis would have been a nice addition to the show.
Can't really say I'm mad he died though, made things very interesting for Shane.

And then Shane's ears.
