I don't get why everyone likes Otis so much. He did jack shit, and then he got killed.
Because he was likeable in the terms of being fat and sorry for what he had done.
Just rented and watched season one from Red Box. Can't believe I've been missing this!
I was totally suprised when I saw Otis, I recognised him instantly from one of the best films so far in the 21st century, Identity.
Go watch that film.
Also, Shane is by far my favourite character, what I like about him is his 'Locke-esque' quality of not being able to completely work out if he's a good guy or a bad guy. I think he is neither.
Oddly enough, I think if Shane is a bad guy it's not because of what happened with Otis. Spoiler tagging the rest in case someone hasn't seen it yet:
[sp]Shane LIED to Rick's wife about him being dead, so he could bang the bejesus out of her and take Rick's family. Proof that this was his intention, and didn't just 'happen' is that once Rick returned Shane didn't immediately back off. Instead he thought of killing Rick, and still talks to Lori like he's all about protecting her and the kid. That simply cannot be justified however you look at it.
The thing with Otis can be justified. They were both going to die unless the zombies could be distracted. Without those supplies, Carl would die too. Three die or one? It's cold hearted, it's brutal, but it's not 'bad' per se.[/sp]

I still think Shane actually thought he was dead, because he did not hear a pulse. However, he did put a gurney to the door just so he had some sort of protection/Rick didn't come out and start shambling around.
Also, I'm pretty sure Shane got very quickly neutered, so to speak, by the fact that Lori completely cut him off from herself and Carl (which I think made it a bit worse that he couldn't even be there for him *at all*), and lost his role as "leader guy." Not to mention I think Shane's a bit of a basket case anyway, and we end up with a major jealousy attack. Just remember what happened that one time in the comics, which I felt summed up his attitude and opinion quite well, even if things ended differently.

Alright, so I just realized something. Apparently in the TV series Rick is from somewhere in Georgia, unlike Kirkman's hometown in Kentucky like in the comics. So is he from King County, Georgia, or is he from Cynthiana, KY like in the comics?
It's a small detail, but I was looking up the uniforms and it threw me off. <.<

Lifetime permanent ban from my zombie fort when shit goes to hell.

Because he's Taylor Pruitt Vince alright
I liked the webisodes a lot, although I made the longest facial expression when I saw the stepmom give CPR to that girl laying down on the ground.
And then Shane's ears.
And then Rick's forehead. Seriously, I notice this in every episode.

So the "mid-season" finale is tonight, yes?
Yes.
Or on friday for us Brits which is, as usual, a bit arse.
The EW review of the latest episode is up.
They say it has become a soap drama set in a post-apocalyptic enviroment with the occasional zombie instead of being a survival horror.

I haven't read it past the first paragraph, but there are probably spoilers.
how long till the next episode?
about 1 hr 45 min from now
Mm, any good streams?
I hope something dramatic happens. Everything's been calm lately.
I hope there's no sex scene. I watch this with my dad and brother :S
6 minutes till mid season. I'm a bit excited, but at the same time, I'm sad that it won't play until February or something like that.
Goddammit Glenn
Daryle is like you son of a bitch you had [sp] me looking out for that girl and then your gonna tell me you think shes dead?[/sp]
Also lol carl cussing
I like when Rick and Shane argue and it sounds like a contest of who has the best southern accent.
I swear to god if people start pairing Darryl and Carol, I'm going to be very upset.
"Like I was playing Portal! I-it's a video game."
What the fuck.
