According to Kirkman, it's Shane's fault that they took so long to find Sophia because [sp]he killed Otis, who corralled the zombies, before they could say that they were looking for a little girl. If Otis was still alive, he could've just said that he found a little girl zombie and that she was in the barn.[/sp]
This is bullshit or just bad writing. Because [sp]they feed those zombies in person. You mean they don't know when Otis adds another one? They don't SEE there's more in there? They don't keep count so that they can know if there's been an escape? They know these people(the zombies). It's their families and neighbors, they made a point of showing us that. They wouldn't notice an unknown little girl zombie? They wouldn't connect it to the missing girl this other group is lookng for? It can only be one thing- that jackhole Herschel was deliberately hiding her from them. She was part of his collection and he wasn't giving that up for anything.[/sp] This was an epic episode, by far my favorite of the whole show. The tension just built and built till the apocalyptic ending. Dale and the guns: [sp]I think he was hiding the guns by the way. I don't think his intention was to permanently destroy or get rid of them. He just wanted Shane to not have access to them till the Evil Shane situation was under control, probably after Rick got back.[/sp]
Anyone got a link to the preview for the next episode?
That was a really good way to end the season, I think. The show kind of redeemed itself from the past iffy episodes.
It's not over, just taking a break. Second half in Feb. [editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
I'm just glad that Sophia's finally been dealt with, it was getting too drawn out.
It paid off, didn't it?
So that's two Valve references on AMC this year. The obvious Portal one, and Breaking Bad referenced Left 4 Dead last season.
Feels like the references shoulda been swapped for a better fitting.
Just got around to watching episode 7, and I must say, SHIT, I was not expecting that at all.
That was an awesome episode, more episodes should be like that.
That was a good episode, much better than the last episode in the acting and also pass. I really hope they keep it up like this, but I highly doubt it.
Now this, was an awesome episode :D Finally shit happened, I also think I like the wise beard man more.
that was so sad dear lord
That was a really good way to end the season, I think. The show kind of redeemed itself from the past iffy episodes.
Nah. Honestly I think this should have happened a few episodes in. NOT be a season finale. The whole entire season felt like filler to get to this episode. or if it's not a finale at least not take so long to get to it. a lot of the stuff in between could have been skipped over or done a lot faster.
Nah. Honestly I think this should have happened a few episodes in. NOT be a season finale. The whole entire season felt like filler to get to this episode.
Wait, this was the season finale?
im not sure some people said it was but i dont know
Season 1 was alot better imo This season was so boring
Season 1 was alot better imo This season was so boring
so was season 1
Its a midseason finale. Season 2 will start up again in feb
So Sophia is a walker now. Well, those wasted episodes looking for her were worth it.
This seems like the most appropriate end to the season, I really look forwards to what will happen now. Finally some action to force people to do stuff again, I knew shit was eventually going to hit the fan with Hershey and the Barn. I never expected this though.
I want a youtube clip of them mowing down all the zombies.
I want a youtube clip of them mowing down all the zombies.
Wouldn't it instantly get taken down for some sort of infringement?
Did anyone else notice how bad the effects on Andrea's gun were?
she also didn't 'act out' any recoil, which made it worse
Well, I'm glad that spoiler turned out to be right. Now I know how the season will end too!
Hershel's a douchebag for not telling anyone about Sophia. That was an interesting ending nonetheless. Oh well, time to get prepared for four or so months.

This is bullshit or just bad writing. Besides, they did take in strangers etc.
when Shane [sp] slow-mo headshotted the zombie that Hershel had on the pole, I was in serious shock and I dont think I've ever felt so bad for anyone in a TV series. Hershel just looked so lost and upset as Shane emotionlessly put her down and walked away like it was nothing. [/sp]
Meh, he did the right thing anyway.
Wouldn't it instantly get taken down for some sort of infringement?
Well someone uploaded the Portal reference so, no idea.
Best episode yet. Really enjoyed the part between Shane and Dale in the woods.
A kind of a flaw in the ending with the [sp]missing girl[/sp], or it's explained in next episode, but regardless she either; A) [sp]Found the barn on her own, climbed in it and fell in there with the zombies. This would be bad writing because she would be torn apart.[/sp] or B) [sp]Herchel's family already found her infected and threw her in the barn and didn't see the connection with the others looking for a missing girl or didn't want to mention.[/sp]
Oh wow that was a depressing episode.

Otis brings her to the barn since that's part of his job. Otis then goes hunting before telling anyone about this new zombie. Otis shoots Carl, then goes for supplies with Shane, and dies, never getting the chance to tell anyone about the girl. I don't buy it. For one thing, they still go to feed those zombies, so they see them randomly walking around. For another, I can't believe Otis wouldn't tell anyone stuff like "Well, we have 12 zombies in the barn as of now, how many more do you think we can stash in there Herschel?" and "Well I brought in another woman today, haven't seen any kids yet.". In other words, Herschel would get updates from Otis and therefore know what's in that barn. If they suddenly had a new, unexplained kid in there Herschel would notice. The alternative is to believe Otis never kept anyone updated on what was in the barn and no one ever got curious and studied the zombies in the barn, and no one ever got concerned enough to keep count of the zombies in the barn.[/sp]
I don't see what's so outlandish about the alternative
Well shit, that episode was awesome.
That portal reference was so cliche nerd
