Shane and Daryl are my favorite characters of the show.
Shane is a direct reflection on what I would be like during a zombie apocalypse, doing whatever it takes to survive, even shooting a friend to escape a mob of zombies which is what I was thinking I would do if I was in the Shane/Otis situation before it happened. I was even suggesting to my friend while watching this episode that Shane should just kill the owners of the farm and take it over.
[sp]Jesus christ, it was super obvious that Sophia would be in the barn (I started thinking that the moment it was clear there were walkers in the barn), yet I was still shocked to see her coming out of it.[/sp]
why are they wasting so much ammo.
annoys me how Rick went through all that trouble in season one to get the gunbag like it's the most important thing ever and now theyre just letting everybody and even a kid just waste all the ammo at practice
Why was anyone even focusing on Andrea's muzzle flashes and recoil? Who gives a shit?
Because it looked stupid
i wasn't focusing on it, it was just so terrible and hard to miss. it's just surprising to see in a show like this that spend a lot of time on CGI and they don't even bother with gunshots
Meh, people are really nitpicking everything in this series.
not really
Meh, people are really nitpicking everything in this series.
Not really. It's so unbelievably stupid and I honestly don't understand how it's something they could get wrong.
She ain't even squeezing the trigger :v:
Couple of things, I love how Dale only makes one face at pretty much all time. You know what I mean, it's that weird "confused and perplexed" look.
[sp]
Also not mentioned yet, I feel kinda bad for the situation the group puts Herschel in. It wasn't his fault that the kid got shot, yet he offered the group a place to stay. As an independent person, it'd piss me off to no end if a group of 10+ random strangers just suddenly decided to live at my house after I helped them with something. Although this is irrelevant if he knew about Sofia and refused to tell them.
The plot with Sofia was kinda cool how they set it up. At the beginning, I was pretty sure she was alive. Then as the episodes went on, I was less and less sure, and at the end I felt like she was definitely gone. They did a good job with this, even the mom recognized it was hopeless. [/sp]

[sp]Yeah, kind of sucks for him that after he helps them they just come and fuck shit up[/sp]
That was the most unintentionally hilarious 45 minutes of television that I ever watched.
Poor Herschel though, the look on his face was a bit heart breaking.
Yeah I definitely felt bad for Herschel.
damn, episode 7 was pretty intense
glad they're over with this search though, I want to see more action like in season one, they'd solve at least 2 problems and end the episode with one, now they're just finding more issues to leave unfinished at the end of every episode
But seriously, the scene I'm dying to see is Dale shooting Shane. [sp]I'd be okay if Carl shot him like in the comics, but Dale's much more badass[/sp]

As somebody already mentioned, [sp]Shane will probably regret giving Carl a gun.[/sp]
oh and what about Darryl's brother?
oh and what about Darryl's brother?
All this time I was kind of expecting him to show up with Sofia, demanding a ransom.
You'd think they would use him for something considering they could just as well have found a cuffed zombie on that roof.

When you have a series this good, you generally start picking at the smallest of things.
Rick ain't shaving, that sun doesn't look real enough, too little decay on the walkers.

Yeah, it to me also seems terribly risky for everyone to stand around firing their guns at the same time just for practice. I mean, seems like something really fucking likely to attract a lot of walkers hearing the shots fired from far away.

Elbows not pointy enough.
I don't want my walkers looking like beautiful women.

They're not practicing anywhere near Herschels farm, so the worst thing it could do is to make a few late walkers disappointed.
Or maybe cause a huge horde randomly heading towards the farm
For me the fact that [sp]Sofia was in the barn[/sp] came as a complete surprise, but mostly because I didn't really think about it. Those were some powerful final 10 minutes.
Also no episodes until February? :(
February!?
Fuck sake..
unless you're talking about airsoft guns, the recoil from a 9mm is very noticeable
also notice how the gun doesn't even 'cock back' or whatever when she's firing
i'm not a gunfreak but that small 1 second clip is so terrible
A 9mm would definitely have recoil. Especially in the hands of a woman who just learned how to shoot. They obviously decided to put that in after the scene had been filmed. But the problem is, it wasn't needed. So some idiot in charge told some poor VFX guy to put it in. I'm sure it hurt him the whole time he made it and was ashamed to release it.
Is it just me or T-Dog doesn't get much (any) screen time? Why does he even have a name, if the only episode he had something to do was the second one (I think)?
Even when he was sick, nobody gave a fuck. I bet the next time he says something, someone will look at him and say "wait, who's this guy?"

Hey, don't go dissin' on the token black guy. His role is very important, the show needs him so they don't look racist killing black zombies.
Anyone else notice that at the beginning of the episode when Shane was looking into the barn [sp]the walker that looked back at him was actually Sophia. I didn't realize that until the end, but because he was bending down to look through the crack in the door, she was the only one short enough to look back at him[/sp]
I spent half an hour after the episode ended saying "Oh wow."
