bullshit. they feed the zombies how can they not know
I somehow doubt that every time they fed them they took a proper head count in the dark while chickens are getting ravaged.
[sp]The fact that Herschel knew that Sophia was in the barn the entire time makes me completely rethink who the bad guys are.[/sp]
Apparently it will be revealed in February that Otis was the one in charge of putting the walkers in the barn. So Herschel didn't know because he wasn't in charge of the walkers until after Otis died.
While we wait for season two to return, let's look at some old stuff. Anybody else remember this video? This fan-made opening is way better then the real one.

So are we gonna keep discussing what Hershel (whatever I don't care how you spell his name) knew or not, for the next 2 months?
I wonder what's going to happen now, I forgot about this part in the comics. Does he just tell them all to leave his farm? He must be pretty damn angry at what happened, for sure.
When is the next episode out?

Love that intro, would've been amazing if they used it but unfortunately the show has completely deviated from the comics and as such that intro would be silly.
a lot of things are still like in the comics, it'd be fine if they used that intro
[editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
and, besides, movies/series like this are never exactly like the original version

For an animated series, that intro would be perfect.
I like that intro way better than the official one.

It was already revealed that Otis wrangled the walkers, Herschel had a one line saying that when he and Rick went to get the two walkers in the swamp.
Looking forward and hoping part 2 of this season will deviate some more from the comics, I like surprises
I am really pissed that they arent any more episodes until February, its such a long time.
I am really pissed that they arent any more episodes until February, its such a long time.
way better than the wait for season 2 was
The scene where Rick [sp]walks up to shoot Zombie Sohpia[/sp] had some pretty good music. With everyone backing down.
Perhaps Rick won't be so idealistic anymore?
If the series has any similarities to the comics in the coming episodes, we will see a much darker Rick.
$5 that Rick will end up regretting [sp]shooting Sophia[/sp] and will do something really, really stupid and unnecessary that will put all of them in danger to make it "okay". No matter how much his character changes, he's still going to be that guy that thinks about things the way they were before.
[sp] I don't think he'll regret shooting Sophia, that was the final straw in showing Herschel they truely believe there is no cure, by killing off there own.
No one else could have done it, it shows how much of a leader Rick truely is capable of being.[/sp]
The music was really moving during the [Sp]zombie Sophia[/Sp] scene.

[sp]Rick hasn't seen some of the more vicious people out in the world yet, like the child murderer in the prison, or the Governor, or the hunters[/sp]

Wrong. He will become hardened and pragmatic once he and the group are fucked around with a bit. At some point during the story [sp]they find a church to hold up in for a while, and cannibal hunters are picking off members of the group one by one. Rick and a few others go out, find their camp, ambush them and brutally murder every last one of them.[/sp]
This reminds me, I gotta finish reading the comics. Everything that happened there may happen in the show, who knows.
I'm so happy AFN (American Forces Network) here in Europe is broadcasting it for us Americans who don't get our familiar cable overseas. Only thing is that we're always a week behind the actual schedule, so this week's episode will be the last episode everyone else saw.
Does everybody think [sp]Shane will be dead by the end of the season? I know it sort of is building up to it, but I really don't want such a good character dead.[/sp]

It happened in the graphic novel, will probably happen in the show. Then again, they have changed so much shit already.
Wow, wow, spoiler tags please. As we discussed earlier.
Spoilers ahoy [sp] Finally Sophia's dead after a billion episodes, saw it coming from a mile away but it was still quite a cool moment, I was kind of hoping for more of a battle when they got the walkers out of the barn though. [/sp]
Best episode so far. Mostly because there were actual events.

Even if Herschel was so blinded by hope, how does that explain the others. [sp]Don't you think Maggie might say to herself "Maybe we should keep count of how many are in there, so if we noticed one day there is one unaccounted for we know there's been an escape"? Or how about keeping count just cause you're frickin' bored and what else is there to do? Or because you need to know how many chickens you'll need for food? Or because you're trying to figure out how many you'll eventually be able to cram in there?
And Maggie wouldn't wonder "Gee this girl they're looking for, wouldn't it be weird if she was in the barn? I mean, it's not like we know who Otis captures, since he works alone" and Otis would have to work alone because anyone who helped him capture a kid would certainly speak up once they hear Rick's people are looking for one.[/sp]
maybe late, didn't want to scan through 330 comments to look for it but:

[sp]They're decaying, animated corpses armed with teeth. How much battle could there be against half a dozen armed people?[/sp]
