I am still wondering how the fuck can zombies take out a tank. Can't you just close the hatch and drive over everything?
Please don't start that again.
Finally.
Zombies have taken over the media world.
:foxnews: was first.

Ever tried piloting a tank? :v:
People need to get over this, trying to operate a tank with no idea what your doing is the equivalent of trying to build a computer when you were 2 years old. Random mashing won't work
I liked it a lot. Great pace for an introduction, good suspense and emotion.
I can tell this will be one of those shows I don't want to end, and can't wait till the next episode comes out.

Guys, he asked why the soldiersw didn't just do that, not our protagonist.
poor horsey :(

i wanted the horse to be like his life long companion, but i commend them for staying true to the book.

I suppose if enough flesh and bone were to get trapped within the treads it might get slowed down a bit.

I don't think the tank was disabled, I think the crew inside might have just been caught off guard...there is also potential the tank could have been used as an armed road block, and didnt have any fuel in it...
I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to what they've done for the later parts of the story.
Was very meh. Perhaps because I think it has something to do with how the main character can't show any emotion believably, and the scene where hes about to suicide under the tank and then goes "oh lol, a hatch!" was fucking stupid. Theres no way he wouldn't have noticed that huge gaping hole when he was crawling towards it and looking forward. Plus the acting in that part was terrible. There was no build up to it. He rolls over, starts asking for forgiveness and before you even realize what hes doing he is climbing up. There wasn't even a surprised "HOLY SHIT IM SAVED" face.
But, the zombie effects and scenes with the black guy and his kid were great.
Oh god it was amazing (I'll admit I was not expecting it to be fucking 1 and a half hours long) and the first 30 minutes being commercial free was great.

yeah
That scene was a bit strange, but that may have just been the way they had to shoot it and edit it due to time restraints, or just bad direction/acting.

I thought he was great when he saw that door with the zombies behind it ("DON'T OPEN DEAD INSIDE") he looked pretty pale and scared when the hands came out.
Been waiting forever to see it and finally it came. What a fantastic show, AMC is officially my new favourite channel. I didn't think I could enjoy TV again but they proved me wrong. I can't wait for the next episode. Only thing is, people are all watching Dexter when this is on so I'm wondering how the ratings are gonna be. Season 5 sucks, I'm all about TWD.

Yeah, I don't really like the actor they picked, but whatever, there's a lot going on in TWD so I have that to look forward to. Also, that hatch bit was stupid. Still, I enjoyed it and I hope we at least get a couple seasons out of it.

you mean DON'T DEAD OPEN INSIDE
I think the actor is good, the character is flawed but he's designed that way. That's how he is in the comic.
That part under the tank didn't bother me so much because I think he's totally freaked out under there, so he's not going to notice the hatch with zombies swarming in.
The part that bothered me is when he's in the tank, the tank with an OPEN hatch, he doesn't check the dead body to see if it's a zombie. In fact, what he does is kick back right next to the frickin' thing! That was a pure idiot move.
I find him absolutely emotionless.

Hey zombies, could you just give me a second? I know you want to eat me and everything but can you just give me a sec so I can look really emotional?
Well it was only the first episode (really a pilot), so I'm not going to judge it too harshly. I'm going to reserve judgment for later episodes. Though some of the stuff was corny, but other then that this show has great potential.

Well maybe he isn't a pro gamer who knows everything about zombies. And he is clumsy, hence why he got shot in the first place.
Sure it's stupid, but hey, it's more fun if main character is stupid.
I hate these people who have to criticize and nit pick every little mistake people make in zombie movies, just cause you read the survival guide doesn't mean everyone did.

It wasn't moving. Hell, I would have been convinced it was just a corpse unless I saw it move.
Also, the key with most zombie movies is that zombie movies don't exist in their realities. That, or the characters never bothered seeing them.

Pretty much. It wouldn't be fun if main hero knew everything about zombies. Not in the first episode atleast.
Guys, he asked why the soldiersw didn't just do that, not our protagonist.
Hatch was probably open. [sp] He got in through the bottom escape hatch, which was wide open. And there was a zombie soldier inside which means that the zombies got in, or he was infected and then they buttoned up the tank[/sp]
AMC's original series "The Walking Dead" delivered with more than 5.3 million viewers and a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, having the largest audience for any original series on AMC, and the highest delivery for any cable series premiere for 2010.
"The Walking Dead" delivered higher ratings than the network's critically-acclaimed shows "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad", while also attracting more viewers than Showtime's "Dexter", HBO's "True Blood" and NBC's "The Event".
Awesome show.

I found my new favorite show. I hope they keep up the work because I would be pissed if the show turned to shit like most things out there today.
