It's on the cover of multiple issues of the comic.
Plus, it's a pretty broad location.

Not to mention that all you people that just started reading this thread after yesterday would already know about it if you had started reading this thread back when it was made.
I wonder if they're going to keep that one prison scene intact. You know, that one scene with the people and the other people and they do that thing and you're reading it and you're all like "HOOLLY FUKKIN SHIIT!"
You know what I'm talking about, right, Jack?
And people who watch the TV series saw the covers of the comics, of course.
Many people have, and they all should.
Go read the comics, they're fantastic.

I know exactly what you're talking about.
I stared slack-jawed at the comic for a while.
That was most upsetting, but it really did help move the whole thing along.
I read the comics.
I wonder if they're even going to keep the group true to the comics because let's face it, Rick 'meets' lots of people and it doesn't seem like something producers would want to carry over because viewers 'wouldn't connect as well' with the characters.

Nah, I think they'll stay true to the comic (WISHFUL THINKING) [sp]Sure tons of characters die on the comic, but I think that's really what keeps the story so compelling, you never know if someone's going to die, and it's a fantastic device that the writer holds[/sp]
Just finished watching it (GMT -3 over here), I thought it was "ok" so far, I need to see more

Cool! Now "28 Weeks Later" is on :D
Did you get Dawn of the Dead beforehand? The most awesome remake ever.

True. [sp]I really hope they keep the torture/rape of the black ninja bitch in there too.[/sp]

[sp]Yeah but I really didn't expect Lory to get it. That's what makes it so good, everyone is expendable except Rick I guess. Even Carl could go.
The other shocker for me were the two little girls that the old convict decapitated. Er wait.. it was the fat nerdy lookin' "fraudster" wasn't it?[/sp]
I haven't read the book as of late, I really need to get my ass to the comic shop and pick it up again.
Tanks don't have escape hatches on the bottom like that and they're not that roomy. The Abrams doesn't even have air conditioning and the tank in The Walking Dead was big enough to STAND in. Abrams are barely big enough to sit in without having something stab you in the side or head. They took out the entire engine of the tank so they could fit a camera inside it and give it a nice angle I guess.
Bothered the shit out of me though. It also bothered me that on the scene with the Highway there was nothing in the inbound lane. In a disaster like that, no doubt they'd start using the inbound lane to try and leave the city, they did it in Katrina. Even if they didn't it'd be littered with debris, bodies, wrecks or abandoned cars pushed off the outbound lane regardless. The scenes look like really badly constructed sets. Zombies were really, really boring and the gore was just not believable.
Oh my god who gives a fuck about these stupid details, it's fiction, there are no real life zombie evacuation procedures and the show isn't about accuracy concerning tanks. It's actually not even about the zombies. It's about the people and how they deal with their situation, interact with eachother and how it changes them. It's a drama, not a fucking documentary.

Yeah, what surprised me even more than [sp]Lorry's death[/sp] was that the writer guy (can't remember his name) said he had been planning for it to happen from the start, if I recall correctly.
I haven't read it since August or whatever. They're in some town last I remember.
Also, I seem to remember the writer saying [sp]even Rick could die at any moment and if that were to happen the series would probably continue on with Carl (providing he isn't dead either).[/sp]

I don't know which one you're referring to, sp tag it for me.

Robert Kirkman.

[sp]I was specifically referring to the scene where the town of crazies attack the prison and kill everyone, especially Lorry and the baby.[/sp]

Aah, right. Well that wasn't exactly unforseeable.
Of course not, it's foreshadowed a bit but it still makes you go "holy crap".
I never found [SP]Lory[/SP] to be too tight with [SP]Rick[/SP] anyway, she seemed so fucking cold, never liked her.

[sp]Well she was having an affair and Rick was gone for however long[/sp]
Did the beginning scenes with the hospital make anything think of 28 Days Later? And the horse...:frown:
The comic started before 28 Days Later was released, and the whole "wake up in hospital alone" thing is a homage to the Day of the Triffids.
This shit was incredible
Liked the old school kinda filming in there, the style
Plus it was insane the crawling zombies jesus
for the record, there are very few tv shows centered around zombies
Zombies in general.

high five!
Guys, he asked why the soldiersw didn't just do that, not our protagonist.
I recall seeing scratches on the soldiers face, inside the tank. Possibly zombies scratching him and infecting him
So anyway I guess the soldier died to the fever inside eventually
finally
a cure for all the shitty and faggy vampire shows out there on TV
Zombies > Vampires
Depends, really. My favorite vampires are a lot like zombies.
[SP]The Virus in The Walking Dead is inside everyone.[/SP]
I hope they pick someone good for the [sp]Governor[/sp] He's a fantastic character.
