That's the way they were in the comic too, though. Growing animals?
What's wrong with growing animals?
First episode was so cash, I am looking forward to seeing every episode.
It starts out pretty slowly, but I liked it.
When's the next episode due?
Sunday, 10 PM Eastern, 9 PM Central if you're looking for american time frames.
Yeah, so, I hate to burst your bubble, but some university scientists have been working on the zombie problem: http://mysite.science.uottawa.ca/rsmith43/Zombies.pdf We are screwed, basically. I thought the show was brilliant. I liked the grey/dead/dirty/dusty look of the zombies. Some of them looked dry, even. But what I liked best was the humanity it brought to the genre. I though Rick was awesome. He's a cop, so he's gotta "keep it together," but I liked his bewildered look as he left the hospital and his breakdown at his house. Finally, my favorite part was when the scene with Morgan trying to shoot his wife is juxtaposed with the scene where Rick kneels next to the crawling zombie and says "I'm sorry this happened to you." One thing that zombie films rarely touch on is the horror that the zombies were in fact once human beings (generally, zombie flicks rely on the gore/monster factor for the horror). You see how truly tragic some of the zombies are, and how pathetic they are, too. Oh, and please, I know that horror films rely a bit on realism to drum up the horror, nit picking is just dumb. I'm sorry real life experience has taught you that tanks aren't roomy . . . but see, I believe that there are stockpiles of "zombie contingency" weapons where roomy tanks with bottom escape hatches are stored for when the outbreak happens.
Umm no. The have been plenty of other studies in combination with this thing called real life that show pretty much that NO pathogen is 100% universal in symptom and outcome, and any pathogen that is endemic and invasive enough to cause a "zombie" is nasty enough to kill the person with enough system damage so that becoming a zombie is impossible, unless something vaguely flapping around in an immobile state is scary to you. I recommend you check out both the discovery channel and Nat Geo specials on zombies, amongst a couple of other more straightlaced studies
Uh, this doesn't work without "I pity the fool!" at the end.
um it works so much better without it
Oh god where's my bad reading rating I miss it. It's only on AMC in the US.
Well i'm sorry I didn't know that the channel didn't exist in your country. Calm down.
um it works so much better without it
I pity you, fool!
I pity you, fool!
see what i mean that wasn't funny at all
see what i mean that wasn't funny at all
I pity myself. :(
The U.S. has already seen episode 1 on Halloween, episode 2 is on this coming sunday for them (which includes me too :keke:)
My point in case. 1x bad reading
This show is p. good.
First episode is on right now for us Brits :D
They said this TV show is the highest rated TV show of all time.
Watching it now on FX
They said this TV show is the highest rated TV show of all time.
They are lying. Hell, of the shows on TV right now, there are 5 shows that have been rated higher.
It's the most watched pilot on AMC ever though.
I'm actually surprised that AMC allowed so much gore in it. It's awesome though.
M1 Abrams tanks don't have belly hatches, however M60 Patton tanks do. It could have also been a mocked up British Chieftain.
That poor horse :saddowns:
Gory [img_thumb]http://www.blogomatic3000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/David-Boyd-TWD.jpg[/img_thumb]
that's some Jaw dropping Gore
Would sexing a zombie be classified as Necrophilia?
That was well worth the wait, fucking brilliant show IMO. Can't wait 'til next weeks ep.
Guys at the end of the first episode, what was the name of that song? It goes like "MAH ONLY WURRLLLDDDDD"
I'm actually surprised that AMC allowed so much gore in it. It's awesome though.
AMC pushes things to the limit, like Breaking Bad being so vivid when they'd cook meth and what not. This just pushes gore to the limit, probably brings alot of viewers based on just that.
