Show is good so far... It's really promising...
love the show, but I still got the feeling that on the first episode Rick just believed it all so easily... I mean someone who doesn't know about zombies and sees them trapped ("don't open, dead inside" door) would probably try to talk to them at least
every single person in the world has seen a zombie movie if you wake up in an abandoned building with bloody, disheveled people walking around with their guts hanging out and moaning, every person would think OH SHIT ZOMBIES DESTROY ITS BRAIN

But yeah afcourse you'll THINK you're in the middle of an zombie apocalypse, but your head is too much filled with fuck to make any facts. Also, he's a cop, they have rules and stuff. They can't just start shooting people in the head when they think they're zombie.
Glenn was awesome. I hope we see more of him.
This show is going to be so so awesome. It's already awesome but it hasn't even got to the epic parts in the comics. Loving the director changing things up keeping people who read the comics on there toes.
Quick question. Is it worth reading the comics? Or does it spoil TOO much?

I've read the comics yet I'm still equally suprised by a lot of the content they're using i.e that tank scene and a lot of stuff this episode was not in the comics. So if you really want to go ahead. Also who said the zombies weren't acting realistically, they're zombies for gods sake not to mention if you haven't been paying attention this series doesn't use the normal zombie cliches it's more inventive therefore zombies might not act to how you're used too i.e the fact you can smear blood all over yourself and hide from them, also they seem to remember bare basic memories (morgan's wife returning to their house), also some are able to move faster then others (likely based on how broken down they're as a corpse) and it appears they don't have much vision perception and depend a lot on sound. Also some seem more intelligent then others i.e one attempted to climb the ladder while all the other did nothing, another also smashed the shops class with a stone. For all the people still whining about the tank, god knows why such a tiny detail has been such a huge focus, firstly the tank as it has been pointed out is a Cheiftan which is 15 years old and from what I've heard bloddy insanely hard to operate. Plus who knows what the condition of the tank is? Anyone assume it could be broken? But seriously lets not focus on it and move on.. What is all the talk about the start scene with him and in a coma, he probably knew they were zombies but thats besides the point, he saw weird walking corspy hand in that the room and that rotting corpse, he also had no weapons so of course hes just going to try to get the fuck outta there, whats all this talk about weapons and gun he had nothing at that point. Give the series a chance you can't expect the most epic crap ever in the first episode (not that it wasn't bloddy good anyway) but most of that was character development which I happily welcome, from here on out things are only going to get better and the last episode of the season 22 will probably be insanely awesome.
i wonder how it'll play out in the tv series as [sp]rick slowly starts going crazy and goes through a lot of difficult trials throughout the issues to the point that carl is starting to block him out.[/sp]
When did you stop reading? [sp]Carl never rejects Rick fully.[/sp]
He said that he worked better alone anyway. I'm betting we'll see him again after we all forget about him.
By "after we all forget about him," you mean the next episode, right? :v:
what [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] the first part was me talking about the asian guy driving off. the other part is why didn't the black guy give the guy a hacksaw when he dropped they key, that way he wouldn't have to be with them, but he wouldn't have been sentenced to death.
the first part you were talking about the asian guy driving off, I know. You misunderstood me. I just think it might even be more likely to see the handcuffed guy in the future rather than the asian guy, considering the pretty weird circumstances im about to go into, again the other part, the black guy was in a hurry obviously, considering his second-thoughts and stuff, tipped over the box of tools/hacksaw (if I saw right) and just simply left it at that after losing the key. That is how I see it, not to mention the fact that he locked the door to the roof as well as he left, buying more time for whatever the handcuffed guy comes up with to get rid of the cuffs.
every single person in the world has seen a zombie movie if you wake up in an abandoned building with bloody, disheveled people walking around with their guts hanging out and moaning, every person would think OH SHIT ZOMBIES DESTROY ITS BRAIN
Every rational person would think that way.. Don't count on people, you know. :v:
Quick question. Is it worth reading the comics? Or does it spoil TOO much?
Considering the show is probably going to follow all the main plotlines of the comic, yes, obviously
Great episode. I hope they don't make the reunion with Rick and his family too annoying, considering his wife's already fucking his partner and all. What a whore, it's probably only been a few weeks since she left him there.
damn I missed the first episode :saddowns:
Some of them are really bad at simulating recoil.
Not if you just woke up from a coma after getting shot and forgot what year you're living in AND have a huge headache and can barely walk. Fuck yeah, Glenn! Anyone else bugged by the brick zombies at all?
Yay, "I'm a man" at the end :D
and i dont like the sounds the zombies make, or the actors that play the zombies they don't feel or sound right to me especially the black dudes wife, she was terrible at being a zombie, she moved more like a chicken
Um, new movie, new mythos, dude. I'm glad they are a little bit different. I like that there are passive memories . . . it makes them more human and therefore more creepy. [editline]8th November 2010[/editline]
Fuck yeah, Glenn! Anyone else bugged by the brick zombies at all?
Romero's first zombies used rocks. I like that each zombie is a bit different. Some can run. Some can climb. Some can use crude tools. It humanizes them enough to make them that much more frightening.
Fuck me that was even better then the first episode I hope it continues along like this
2nd episodes and I'm already hooked for more. Just wish it wasn't on so late for EST :(
I was a little disappointed with last nights episode. It was a good episode but it wasn't in the spirit of the comics.
If they cancel this masterpiece, I will drown Frank Darabont in my semen.
When he was axing the body, it felt like he was axing something very solid, bad acting there. But I still love this show
I didn't like those "slurp" sounds whenever he hit the body.
Great, now the Asian kid will draw attention towards the camp.
I was a little disappointed with last nights episode. Takes away from the suspense.
When he was axing the body, it felt like he was axing something very solid, bad acting there. I hope they're not too soft on people dying in this, I thought for sure the black guy at the end of the second episode was going to die.
This was a pretty awesome episode, I really can't wait for the next one.
