With how the show's going, I'm starting to wonder if we'll run into characters like Michonne and the Governor.
At least the show is unique. It'd be easy to just copy scenes.

Actually, I see a little divergence in plot as a good thing. If they went thorough every scene in the comic, the show would be over quicker. With little side stories, the show has a thicker plot, which takes more to work thorough, meaning the show can have more seasons.
Don't you hate it when you are working on a project to save humanity and you accidentally knock over a Graduated Cylinder? Pisses me off like none other.

They will follow the main plot but not going be exactly as it is in the comic.
Way I see it is, if the story of the show followed the Comic's story, it'd be extremely boring to know what is gonna happen.
Sure, but not everyone has read it - besides, even if you have read it, if it followed it exactly, wouldn't be that bad, I'd like to see how it'd be portrayed in moving pictures form.
The Doctor is named Jenner if no one caught that. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] Also, people in Georgia are very hairy apparently. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] For those who can't find it. This is the sneak peak to episode 6. Extended online. Is it just me or are they killing main characters too fast? There's very little room for character development.
[sp]Considering the fact that Shane is listed as one of the main characters all over the place, on the website, in the opening sequence, etc... it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't killed for a while. [/sp]
Great episode. God, the fact that next week's episode is the last one for an entire year is really getting to me. I could watch this show forever. :frown:
I saw army mans.
Lol'd. And anyone who's read all the comics so far totally have a "WTF" face on atm?
Yes, but it's good because I want to see something new while it still retains familiarity. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
So I take it the show has just started to throw the comics off track now?
It was a little bit throughout the whole show, but now they've really thrown us a curve.
it feels weird watching a show that's practically exactly like it's source material
welp so much for that
[sp] I have a feeling shane won't be killed till season 2 [/sp]
[sp]He may not be at all, who knows with how things are going?[/sp] [editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
This episode really reminded me of LOST when they finally got into the hatch and Desmond was down there all crazy and shit.
Ha, same here dude, except the story makes sense. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
welp so much for that
Lol.
So by my estimation each season of The Walking Dead will cover one book of the graphic novel, correct? If so I need to buy the second book soon. Whenever I watch this with my dad he likes to tell me where all the filming locations are at, it's pretty cool.
I can't wait for the Wilshire Estates scene. I swear if AMC takes that out, I'm going to roundhouse kick a baby. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
Darabont, who wrote and directed the pilot, spoke of his plans to introduce fan favorite Michonne early on in the second season's run. He would also like to include some of the "environmental elements" that take place during Volume 2 of Kirkman's book.
Welcome to Winter.
Damn 5th episode was boring as shit. Pretty much nothing except leaving the camp happened.
Haha, search "Safe Zone" in AMC's search bar, and you get this.
This episode wasn't quite as good as some of the others, but a lot of it was set up. But nonetheless, it was still fantastic, and had some really powerful scenes.
This episode wasn't quite as good as some of the others, but a lot of it was set up. Hell, a week for the finale is killer.
This episode wasn't quite as good as some of the others, but a lot of it was set up. But nonetheless, it was still fantastic, and had some really powerful scenes.
I liked the end when the [sp]the door opens.[/sp]
I liked the end when the [sp]the door opens.[/sp]
Gave me chills.
Man it really pisses it off that they all die so quickly. Jim seemed to be interesting but he pretty much dies the second episode he shows up.

Anyone else think that light was a little too bright? [editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
‎"I think tomorrow I'm gonna blow my brains out, I haven't decided yet. But tonight I am getting drunk!"
For science.
Anyone else think that light was a little too bright?
It's symbolism, plus it was probably simulating the effect of a sudden bright light after your eyes have adjusted to the dark.
I liked the end when the [sp]the door opens.[/sp]
Yeah, but come on, we knew he was going to. What would be the point of introducing that character and that facility otherwise?
Yeah, but come on, we knew he was going to. What would be the point of introducing that character and that facility otherwise? [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] Well, get used to it, people you come to love are going to die in shocking and sometimes horrific ways.
Yeah, if you can't come to terms with that, this definitely isn't the storyline for you.
