No, there was a definite sound effect of the ricochet. I was listening for it since I knew the shotgun wouldn't work. If you can't hack through it with an axe, a shotgun slug or 00 buckshot isn't going to do it. That's why Shane yells out to Tbone "get down", cause of the ricochet. The sound effect is a pretty clear 'zing'.
I know what Jenner had to have whispered in Rick's ear. The comic (Issue #15), explains something that pretty much could streamline into what Jenner said. It makes perfect sense now.

I also think that Jenner whispered him a place they can go to next, to keep pushing on, or a code/instructions for the next step[/sp]

Pretty sure it's what was stated many times in this thread, IE (comic) [sp]that everyone carries the disease, but it only activates on death. If you get bitten you get affected by the stronger, non-airborne strain.[/sp]

Ricks reaction to actually using the grenade was priceless.
Hmm, so everyone is actually infected but they don't turn until death? Gonna be a great episode if someone dies of a gun wound and turns and bites someone. Also if Shane really does die eventually, Rick blows his head off. Also I wanna see Shane rape Lori if that's not weird.
