Q&A with Kirkman: http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2010/12/robert-kirkman-fan-interview.php
The explosion and building destruction cg was SO BAD
Yeah none of the CG really compares to a still picture comic book.
Woah it's only 6 episodes this season that surprised me.
6 episodes? What kind of bullshit is that? Doesn't the next season start in October of next year? Too fucking long man.
I read a book once and it explained how it could happen, the fever could be in everyone but just in adormant form and all it would take is a bite from one of the infected or death to wake up the virus and send the person into viral amplifacation. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] What? Yeah it's a "real" grenade but it wasnt live like the main actor couldnt have blown something up with it.
[sp] In the comic, and feel free to correct me, I remember it being explained that everyone is already infected, it just lies dormant until the death of the host. A bite from an infected causes a horrible fever that kills you, which results in reanimation. In the comic, even people who are killed by other means such as gunshot wounds still reanimate. [/sp]
What I wonder is how electricity in brain changed color
What I wonder is how electricity in brain changed color
A zombie wizard did it.
Can people stop saying they will wait till October? Just because that is when it premiered doesn't mean that is when it will restart. I think we'll see it BY October but I'm expecting an announcement or maybe even the premiere to start in July/August.
What I wonder is how electricity in brain changed color
That was the disease reanimating the brain stem, they weren't the same synapses we saw when she was alive.
What I wonder is how electricity in brain changed color
Maybe it was to show the differences?
Maybe it was to show the differences?
I think that along with what sanitarium. said. I'm sure a computer like could show the virus cells easily.
The explosion and building destruction cg was SO BAD
I was impressed by the inclusion of a shockwave, most TV explosions are just lots of fire and not much else.

Did anyone else notice that "Wildfire" is the same name as the "Oh fuck biologic fuck up" in Andromeda Strain?
Just finished watching the last episode... damn, what did Renner said to Rick :/ All in all, I liked the 1st season, I still think it was "ok", nothing more, nothing less.
Just finished watching the last episode... damn, what did Renner said to Rick :/ All in all, I liked the 1st season, I still think it was "ok", nothing more, nothing less.
He's a zombie
I heard that the director fired all the writers and is going back to the olden ways of how they use to do it in the past for writing shows on television.
fyi the shows producer said that rumor was false
Just finished watching the last episode... damn, what did Renner said to Rick :/ All in all, I liked the 1st season, I still think it was "ok", nothing more, nothing less.
What did he say, what did he say. At first i though he might of told him about his wifes afair as i though he might of seen CCTV from the night before, and as rick kinda falls when he is being told it would of made sence but now i dont know
This is now my favorite show currently on TV, and the best in quite some time. They got renewed for 13 more episodes
I'm trying to decide if I should read the comics in the downtime between seasons. This is the best show I've seen in a long time, and I'm going to read the comics sooner or later, but I enjoy going into these episodes completely blind as to what could possibly happen and the potential fate of the characters. Any suggestions?

There has been enough divergence between the comic and show that you aren't really able to predict what will happen (but will know the general story line and some of the places they call 'home'). There have been events omitted, new characters (and other characters left out), fates changed (for the moment), etc. A whole difference experience reading the comics IMO.

I'll try to pick some up over the winter break. Thanks.
Wish I could forget the 6 episodes once a week and watch them all.
Interesting read and pictures about the visuals effects (nothing about the explosions in epi 6 though thankfully gosh those sucked) http://www.fxguide.com/article660.html
AMC makes some good shows, damn. Lately I've been watching Breaking Bad and this, I rarely ever bother to follow any series, but these two are so great. I just finished both, I only want more now. :gonk: Are the comics available online anywhere? I don't think I'll be able to find them where I live, and I'm not gonna bother ordering them online.
Interesting read and pictures about the special effects (nothing about the explosions in epi 6 though thankfully gosh those sucked)
I love seeing stuff like that. It reminds me of this video showing similar things done with other shows. It's surprising to me how much can be fake even in 'realistic' shows.
http://techland.time.com/2010/12/06/walking-dead-writers-not-fired-say-producers/
Despite rumors to the contrary last week, the writing staff of AMC's hit The Walking Dead - which finished its first season yesterday - have not been fired, according to both executive producers Gail Anne Hurd and Robert Kirkman. Hurd told Entertainment Weekly that the news was "completely inaccurate," and went on to explain, [In] the writers' room, there are people that have set up other projects that will be their first priority if their own series is picked up as a pilot or if it's a series. I think [Charles Eglee, the executive in charge of writing for the show] just decided that he wants to run his own show. Meanwhile, Kirkman - who created the original comic that the show is based on - talked to TVGuide.com, saying It's kind of unfortunate that it's being reported that our writing staff has been fired because that's not the case. It makes Frank look bad. I don't think Frank wants it out there that he's just firing people off of a successful show seemingly for no reason. He did, however, admit that it's not a sure thing that the show will have a writers' staff next year: It's a little premature to be nailing down. I don't know if it's going to be a freelance situation or if we're going to have writers in a writers' room. That's something that's being worked on now.
I love this so much, a zombie television series, which is amazing. And the second season will have 13 episodes ohhhhh myyyyyy godddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd. :gizz:
I'm thinking that Jenner could have told Rick that his wife was pregnant, since he did blood tests on everyone. That or one of them is infected.
Umm, yeah - this. Otherwise the whole blood test sequence is somewhat pointless. They're all 'infected' in as much that the virus is airborne; the bites simply speed up death, via fever.
