Wow.
2 pages complaining about one explosion?
Really? How high are your expectations?
It's a fucking TV show for fuckssakes.
And they have a pretty large budget, it's not hard to make a decent explosion. I mean look at District 9, low budget movie, awesome effects.

That's even worse that they paid someone to do it. Hell some people can do better for free.
Fukken goddamn, why is everyone complaining about the explosion? Has everyone already forgotten about the horrid CGI on :lost:

What the fuck was wrong with the explosion, did I miss something?
Last episode was without a doubt the best so far and I don't get why everyone is hating on the explosions. They're not as good as in movies, but they're pretty good for a tv show.
I hated the last episode, it seemed really cheesey and farfethced to me
What the fuck was wrong with the explosion, did I miss something?
It wasn't colormatched with the shots, and it went on WAY too long, and didn't cover the building properly. Thus showing the building intact in between cuts.
To explosions, yes, they were slow and not really well made, same with the breaking the window one. But this show isn't about things going kaboom. I watched the whole season in two days and I was kind of surprised they did only 6 episodes. On the bright side the story kept going. In my opinion the first two episodes are kickass.
Sorry if this theory has been stated before, but I think the scientist told Rick that his wife was pregnant, only makes sense, he took a bunch a blood tests.
I think the explosion looked strange and went on for a little longer then normal because it wasn't your usual ka-boom, it was a 'set the air on fire' 'ish bomb... I dunno.
it was a 'set the air on fire' 'ish bomb... I dunno.
That's why I didn't mind it that much, the building pieces looked a bit strange, but the fire that just kept lighting up the air above it rather than just twirling around and puffing smoke looked a-okay.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The scientist said something to Rick. Any idea what it might be?
And they have a pretty large budget, it's not hard to make a decent explosion. I mean look at District 9, low budget movie, awesome effects.
The explosion it self was fine, just the destruction of the building was not, and because the show's budget is big does not mean its Visual Effects budget is big.
are we still talking about that bloody explosion ? :(

What else do you want us to talk about? The show's over for now
Any other Georgia natives here that liked seeing Atlanta get the zombie treatment in the first season? For those of you that aren't familiar with Atlanta it looked pretty spot on. Though they didn't use the real CDC or its exterior in TWD.
Alright the first season ended up with a bang, at least!
All in all, pretty nicely done show. I loved the start to be honestly, I couldn't seem to get enough of the Sheriff wandering around struggling, but then the whole rag-tag got involved with all the feelings and shit.
It didn't turn out to be too exciting you know, except for the start which was thrilling, dark and gritty, very nice!
Anyone care to relate?
Anyway that's my wrap up of the first season of the nice series.
My wrapup is that at least we got the stage of people not knowing what to do, or being prepared, over and done with.
I look forward to seeing the adventures of an experienced group of zombie fighters as they try to find a safe place to live next year.

Oh god the boat explosion was the worst thing I have ever seen.
Anyway, I feel that the last episode could have been better. Don't know why, just seems like it ended too soon.
Man, I hope that it comes out on Oct 2nd. That'd be an awesome early birthday present.
Just saying. I will kill the whole internet if Daryl Dixon dies. So far in zombie movies/series all tough guys will die... and in all the cliché in this serie, I think he'll die :(
Pretty meh ending to the final episode :saddowns: How am I going to cope until 'sometime next year' for the next series too :smith:

Speculation for series 2 !
Chad Coleman as Tyreese!
Everyone complaining about anything that happened in this season should know that the writers were all fired for good reason.
Just watched epi. 1. It was a good start, even if I think the whole wife thing is a bit shonky.
I think it's as realistic as a classical zombie series can be. Classical meaning those slow shambling meat-eating ones, and not the fast 28 days later/Left 4 Dead ones.

Well I was going to until I realized that.
Was it really so bad that all of them needed to be fired?
I hated some of the parts of this, but I thought the good things about it greatly outweighed that.
If the new writers are "better" than I guess I'm going to enjoy it even more.
