Say what?
But yeah (imo) right after the start of the season it got a lot more like any other generic zombie survival show, they do alot of strange moves at a wrong times and then they tie some piece of thing from the season start to the ending to give it a smart twist-feeling, fuck that, didn't work for me. But I gotta say some of the characters are really cool
There's other zombie TV series?
The Walking Dead nominated for 1 Golden Globe!
Not for the finale I hope. Was the most dissapointing thing on TV though it was somewhat predictable.
Any news on Season 2?

read through the thread to find out as much as you can about season 2. otherwise, nothing new yet.

I think what he told Rick was "voulez vous coucher avec moi", cause that's the code to get the French to share their info on the infection.
It's a joke.. (he was referring to a music that uses that line)
Does the comic refer anything of what he whispered?
The comic never has them go to the CDC. in fact, by this point in the comic, [sp] Carl has killed Shane and they're well on their way to Hershel's farm/prison. [/sp]
Shane's way too good of a character to be killed off. A shame it's obvious he's going to be, judging by how he is considered a guest actor through the whole first season, rather than a main one.
$20 says Shane will make a huge douche move on the way to the farm and that's when Carl will kill him.
I bet he will still try to advance on Laurie.
I've decided to rewatch the entire series and I must say that this is easily the worst show that AMC has ever made thus far and I can't believe that this replaced Rubicon.
The characters are two dimensional, the plot inconsistencies are annoyingly frequent, the character's decisions are horrifying stupid, and the deviations that it has taken from the graphic novel are ridiculous.
The only reason I kept watching was because I love the graphic novels and I love zombies but this show is a fucking insult to my intelligence.
I sincerely hope that since the writers have been fired that Darabont gets his shit together next year otherwise I can't see myself getting invested in this show.

It's not supposed to follow the graphic novel to the letter. If it did everyone that read the comics would already know what's going to happen and it wouldn't be as exciting.
That would be all fine and dandy if the changes didn't suck.

The changes are fine.
You were really okay with the whole CDC thing? Dear God, there's no hope for you.
It was so fucking pointless and a completely unnecessary deviation from the graphic novels.
Not to mention that Shane is still alive.

Jesus, quit being such an ass about him having an opinion different from your own.
Kirkman himself said that the only reason he killed Shane off so early in the comic was because he was afraid the comic wasn't going to last more than six issues, so he wanted it to happen early. He said he's excited because they get to do more with him and explore his character a little more.
A series that follows the comic exactly gets boring for those who've read it, and they wouldn't produce it in such an expensive way. If they did, people would probably prefer one of the two and completely ignore the other version of it.
That'd be all well and good if Shane was actually a good character.
But then again, they made all of the characters pretty unlikable or haven't given us enough to go off of to see whether or not we can like them.
I just started reading the comic, up to #8, and it's really awesome so far, [sp]but that thing with Shane, sorta harrowing[/sp]
I really liked Shane as a character though, thought that he was interesting, but all of those outbursts kind of made absolutely no sense at all, just seemed slammed in.
Is issue 80 of the comic out yet anybody know?
Is issue 80 of the comic out yet anybody know?
Their site still lists 79 as the latest issue... I'd expect it in the coming week or so, however.
Sweet thanks bro
Apparently the DVD and Blu-ray is out in March.
Goddamit I can't wait till this comes out in Australia.
Why the hell do we have to be so far behind :argh:
I got all the comic volumes up to where [SP]the governer and his men storm the prison, despite him not having a penis and an eye and god knows what[/SP]
It is not a good place to end :frown:
Also if Axel dies I'm going to kill somebody :<

You shouldn't read below
[sp]I hate to burst your bubble, but pretty much everyone dies there, save about 8 people I think.[/sp]
You shouldn't read below
Yeah... definitely don't read that spoiler. Events will have a greater impact if you're finding stuff out for the first time, and it makes the whole thing better.
Kirkman just tweeted:
"Confirmed to be in stores next week, The Walking Dead 80. Sorry for the delay. Proof: http://plixi.com/p/66770512"

They have to replace each and every zombie with hippies, so it's taking a while.
Out of curiosity is there any good thing about living in Australia?
