It's way better than anything else that's on TV. AMC is the only channel I watch.

I don't live in north America so I wouldn't know, but from what I've seen HBO has been making most of the quality shows in the last couple years

I don't have HBO and I haven't been into anything they've produced since Sopranos.
That's not true actually, my wife and I were into True Blood for the first two seasons. Other than that, nothing.. I can't get into Boardwalk Empire because Breaking Bad makes everything seem like shit in comparison. Eventually I will watch it though.
Just got done watching the whole first season in one day. Can't wait for the second.

This show is okay so far, but nothing has really even happened at all. The ONLY reason I've kept up with it is because I love the books. If the comic didn't exist I wouldn't be interested in this show at all. There are tons of shows I would rather watch than The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead is way better than anything on TV? Sorry but there's pretty much no way you can say that with a straight face, it's not even one of the best shows on AMC let alone all of television.

Uh, I did say it, but I don't watch a lot of TV because every time I turn it on, all I see are shows about interesting skills and trades, except they're mostly ridden with drama and bullshit (like LA Ink, show me some tattoos, I don't care about your employee drama woes), reality shows, game shows that suck (Deal or No Deal), celebrity gossip / entertainment news, 489 CSI clones, and lately Casey Anthony / Amy Winehouse.
I don't get that either. All I ever heard about Amy Winehouse was that rehab song like 3 years ago and nothing since until her death. Now everything she did is being reported on CNN for weeks and they have a live performance at some club looped on Much Music.
Maybe Walking Dead isn't top notch TV like the stuff you'll find on HBO, but it's the only zombie survival show I know of and I enjoy it, along with a select few other shows, more than most of the tripe that's on TV these days.

Just got the first 48 issues of the comic. I've read a couple of them, and so far I'm quite disappointed. The writing isn't very good.

They really didn't know that, though. In the books the zombies are still a complete mystery. Nobody knows how or why they exist. They sorta demystified them in the show by explaining how they work.

Well, the Governor had some rationalization for his actions. I always thought of the Governor as an extreme version of Rick. Joffrey was just a prick. At least they [sp]both died horrible deaths[/sp]
