They really didn't know that, though. In the books the zombies are still a complete mystery. Nobody knows how or why they exist. They sorta demystified them in the show by explaining how they work.
They did know that. If they didn't, they would have been [sp]keeping zombies with them like Hershell was.[/sp]
I always figured there would be an end
Can't wait to find out what
wouldn't be at least until 100 issues.
I meant of the prison arc
Love this show, can't wait for the next season, wish it would come out sooner though.

Update on Darabont's firing and other events going on with the show
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/walking-dead-what-happened-fired-221449
As noted, AMC's decision to cut the budget dated to the previous fall, when the network instructed Darabont to produce 13 episodes for a second season, up from six for the first season, for less money. Not only would the show get a lower budget, but AMC also decided that Walking Dead would no longer reap the benefit of a 30 percent tax credit per episode that came with filming in Georgia. Now the network was going to hold on to that money.
...
But this source says that AMC had its own ideas about how to make the show more cheaply. The show shoots for eight days per episode, and the network suggested that half should be indoors. "Four days inside and four days out? That's not Walking Dead," says this insider. "This is not a show that takes place around the dinner table." That was just one of what this person describes as "silly notes" from AMC. Couldn't the audience hear the zombies sometimes and not see them, to save on makeup? The source says Darabont fought "a constant battle to keep the show big in scope and style."
Haha fucking hell, it sounds like things really aren't going too well for this show.
Wow, I don't like hearing that. I really hope this show doesn't go down the shitter.
Wait, they are lowering the budget?
I smell a disappointing second season.
I smell a second season where they spend at least half of the time sitting inside one of the buildings at the farm
man I hope the second season is all awesome, opposed to how boring the first one was after the third episode
Why would they cut the budget for such a well-received show? That's like shooting themselves in the foot and then rubbing shit in the resulting hole.

It's like the Nokia school of business decisions
His horse :C
Any scenes that take place indoors are going to especially suck for this show since the writing is poor and the character development is non-existent.

just watched all six episodes of the first season today (again) to get me back up to speed for the premiere next week
ho lawdy I forgot how awesome this show is
really PISSED about the budget cuts though it makes no sense whatsoever
Half the budget for double the episodes? They've got to make do with only 25% spending cash for the same amount of work as S1.
I know this thread is pretty much dead but The Walking Dead S1 is on Netflix Instant Queue.
