So they're [sp]not going to kill Shane then? How disappointing.[/sp]
Damn :(
I think a nice possible cliffhanger for this episode would be (comic spoilers)[sp]Carl getting shot.[/sp]
Are you a fucking wizard god damn [editline]16th October 2011[/editline]
So they're [sp]not going to kill Shane then? WHAT THE FUCK [SP]CARL[/SP]
So they're [sp]not going to kill Shane then? How disappointing.[/sp]
His actor is [sp]in all the interviews and is a great actor. It doesn't make since for him to die in the premiere.[/sp] [editline]17th October 2011[/editline]
It's funny because you were 100% right.
You've seen me in the Chuck thread, you know I'm never wrong. :v:
I have to admit, it is a kind of bad feeling knowing all the major things that will happen.
Dude, why does AMC [sp]insist on killing off children?[/sp]
Dude, why does AMC [sp]insist on killing off children?[/sp]
I'm glad they take a dark tone sometimes.
Holy shit I was not expecting that. Damn good episode.
Oh god I can't wait till the episode involving my school, I will jizz so much. I wonder if they also filmed at the armory and radio station right next to our school.
I'll admit I did surprise myself there. Totally wasn't expecting it at that moment.
Use logic. [sp]People praying in church because its the fucking apocalypse.[/sp] [sp]People become zombified whilst praying.[/sp] [sp]Zombies stay in church, all dressed up from when they died.[/sp]
[sp]And why would they stay there? Most other zombies left the place they died. Why would those few stay there, sitting in the pews, ignoring their hunger and instincts?[/sp]
Dude, why does AMC [sp]insist on killing off children?[/sp]
[sp]Well, if he actually does die, it could provide a huge character change for Rick, ripping his family apart and adding a whole lot more tension to the drama.[/sp]
There is one thing that is annoying me. How did the church bell megaphone work if there is no power?
Dude, why does AMC [sp]insist on killing off children?[/sp]
Go ahead and ask everybody involved with the comics. If there's one thing TWD will be remembered for, it will be how harsh it treats its characters. You never expect anything that happens in it, that's the first and only time I've ever been able to say that about a piece of media.
Fucking commercials every 5 minutes was driving me insane. But, that was actually a great ep. The first 20 minutes were intense.
[sp]Well, if he actually does die, it could provide a huge character change for Rick, ripping his family apart and adding a whole lot more tension to the drama.[/sp]
(Comic spoilers)[sp]It's funny how everyone is wondering whether or not Carl will die, when in fact pretty much everyone but Carl dies. I hope that part makes it into the show.[/sp]
What. What. What.
I bet it was One Handed Racist Francis, it all makes sense now.
Also, forgot to mention this from Comic Con. Contrary to some rumors, as it turns out, [sp]Merle[/sp] is NOT the Governor.
(Comic spoilers)[sp]It's funny how everyone is wondering whether or not Carl will die, when in fact pretty much everyone but Carl dies. I hope that part makes it into the show.[/sp]
Has the comic been pretty accurate with the series so far?
Has the comic been pretty accurate with the series so far?
Not exactly, but it's following the general path. The CDC never happened in the comics. Shane is supposed to be dead (Carl shot him), and there's a few characters not in the comics that are in the show (T-Dog, Daryl).
I bet it was One Handed Racist Francis, it all makes sense now.
That would actually make since, [sp]in the comics, it was a guy named Otis, but he was just like Meryl. Had the same exact hunting rifle, too. Was also racist. It would make since to me, I just don't see how he used a rifle with one hand.[/sp]
I bet it was One Handed Racist Francis, it all makes sense now.
Wrong, unless they changed who shot him from the comic too.
Wrong, unless they changed who shot him from the comic too.
It's called a joke.
Wrong, unless they changed who shot him from the comic too.
Well T-Dog is a lot like Tyreese or Tyrone from the comic, can't remember. Carol looks nothing like she did in the comics and she wasn't even married in the comics. So I wouldn't be surprised.
What an incredible first episode to the second season. Graphics novels aside, I am looking forward to seeing what they do with this season.
Very good premiere. The news for the show hasn't been great with Darabont going into a lesser role and the budget cuts but this one was good, so I have a little more hope. Although, I would have been happier if there had been some resolution on [sp]what happened with the girl[/sp]. Just to provide closure so the hour and a half felt like they accomplished something. Daryl is honestly becoming my favorite character. He was standing out in season one and he's following the same path here by [sp]saving T-Dog[/sp], (also further separating himself from Merle, who was a complete douche to T-Dog in season 1,) and being extremely helpful in the [sp]hunt for the girl[/sp]. The scene where he and Rick cut open the zombie was hilarious, (while the sound effects were a little over the top, I guess in a way it made the scene a little funnier.) Another note on that scene, it was nice to see Rick's experience as a cop coming into play with his examination of the zombie. I know about [sp]Shane's end[/sp] already, but I honestly hope that doesn't come to pass here. I know everyone would probably happy with the show going exactly the same as the comics, but his character has a lot of potential and I'd much rather see him and Rick coming to terms with the affair and learning (or re-learning) to work together. [sp]For a little bit at least.[/sp] If the other survivors had their stuff together I might feel differently, but over half of the trouble is coming from the survivor's themselves, and while that may be the point, drama works the best when we actually like the characters. And not a lot of work has gone into that. Besides, working more to get us to like the characters will make it harder to see them go. Seems like a win win. [sp]I have to say though, as dis-likable as she is, points for Lori in the end when she defends Rick.[/sp] But yeah, cool premiere. Looking forward to next week.
WHat the fuck? For all of 30 seconds I thought maybe there'd be a feel-good heartwarming moment with all that nice happy music and shit, but nope! Gotta end every episode crying. Awesome first episode. :v:
