Despite being a good show it has huge amounts of stupid mistakes and cliches.
Well were they [sp]so close to the same exact hospital that it was the nearest one? Couldn't they have found a closer hospital?[/sp]
I have no clue, I guess we'll see in the next episode.
Despite being a good show it has huge amounts of stupid mistakes and cliches.
Like every show or movie ever made.
Like every show or movie ever made.
Disagree. Breaking Bad? And as for movies, one I hold in a particularly high regard for it's lack of mistakes or cliches, The Thing?
it has a lot of errors. Like when rick goes after Sophia, he's running with the rifle in his hand and when he jumps out of the highway the thing is tied to his belt. Or the noises of the zombies not always fitting their mouth movements.
Oh boy, if it's really time to pick out the flaws... Why wouldn't Rick just use the rifle as a club instead of running around looking for the perfect rock? Why was Sophia so fucking stupid that she had to run off? Why didn't Rick just originally grab Sophia and run back to the highway the second they were far away enough from the zombies? What happened to the zombies being able to smell you? Oh, the group hid under the cars and as such their scents were instantly masked! That insanely awkward opening monologue by Rick was so god damned cringe worthy. And yeah, HOW THE FUCK DID DALE NOT SEE A MASSIVE HORDE OF ZOMBIES WALKING TOWARDS THEM? I'm sure there's a few other things but I was trying to forget the silliness and just enjoy the show.

I think that[sp]the ones who shot Carl has been taking care of Sophia.[/sp] Also, rocks are better than rifles when used to crush skulls.
To answer why he didn't hit the walkers with the butt of his rifle - He was using a scoped hunting rifle, which can easily damage when using it as a club. And weapons are worth their weight in gold.
Nevermind that there haven't really been any survivalist moments in the show thus far. It seems like they're running into food, gas, water, and weapons every where they turn.
Episode 2 in a nut shell: [sp]Carl got shot. Oh no. Everyone panic. Lori yells at Rick. More panic. Run through woods carrying Carl. See Hershel or someone entering Hershel's house. Rick runs to Hershel's house. Sophia is there. Hershel can fix up Carl, but needs supplies. Shane, Rick and one of Hershel's run to the hospital to get stuff. Oh, yeah, and zombies too.[/sp] Sound about right?
Why wouldn't Rick just use the rifle as a club instead of running around looking for the perfect rock?
Because long guns are actually fairly fragile, particularly at the wrist.
Nevermind that there haven't really been any survivalist moments in the show thus far. Completely Obvious and Opinionated Show Rant: Anyway's, like the only reason the world is in such a bad shape as it is in this show is because people were rioting and killing each other You reanimate as long as your brain isn't destroyed (according to this style of zombies at least), I think the soldiers in the hospital of season one knew this due to the fact of them shooting the people in the head after gunning them down
If you don't like the show just read the comics I'm really annoyed [sp]that Shane is still alive. I know Kirkman wants him to be more developed in the show, but seeing him get shot in the neck by Carl was so incredible when I read the first book of the series.[/sp]

I'm guessing they only had a fair idea that shooting zombies in the head kills them, so that's why they shot everyone (in the head as well).

Otis then leads them to Hershel's.[/sp] Of course, I missed the trailer for the season and the preview of the next episode, so I could be missing some details that say otherwise. [editline]shitbrodontquoteme[/editline] Also, super tiny detail, but I was really bothered that they had the motorcycle in the lead when they were on the highway. You always want to put motorcycles in the back, so if the rider falls off he doesn't get run over.
It feels as if just a few months ago season one ended and I was waiting for season two.
I think that[sp]the ones who shot Carl has been taking care of Sophia.[/sp] Also, rocks are better than rifles when used to crush skulls.
At least shove them down, would bought him time to grab her and run.

He also seems to act as their scout so being ahead of the other cars makes sense.
They don't actually smell you, they just notice that you don't smell like a zombie
..that means they can smell you.
..that means they can smell you.
Well, it means they can tell you're not a corpse. The point of masking the scent it in episode two of season one is that Glenn and Rick would be walking in plain sight in the middle of a particularly large group. Here, the zombies were unaware of anyone, especially anyone hiding underneath the cars, so smell wasn't a factor. There was nothing they needed to differentiate.
They had quite a bit of content in the comics before a herd was ever encountered. Just picked up volume 14, decided to read the past 3 or 4 just to catch up on things.
One thing that pissed me off about the premiere was the insane amounts of commercials near the last hour of the fucking show. Honestly it would be around 5 minutes of the show and then 5 minutes of commercials and it would continue like that. Then it ended and I had no idea what the fuck happened.

Kids are stupid, I don't have a problem with her running around randomly I don't understand why Rick AND the kid didn't hide in that river bank. From the zombies' angle, they'd never see either of them. Rick could have waited till the zombies wandered away and then the two of them could have walked back. I think the idea is that all those dead bodies on the road covered any regular human smell. If they are going to have Rick drone on like that he should at least say something interesting or funny, that's wasted screen time right there. Dale is too embarrassed to tell anyone but he's nearsighted.
on the Talking Dead Robert Kirkman said the zombies didn't smell them because they weren't looking for them.
They probably smelled death and cars more than living humans, anyways.
I haven't seen the whole episode yet but the intro was extremely off-putting and cheesy in my opinion. The monologue that is.
